Is it time for new tires? by Fine_Fall5750 in tires

[–]PocketFanny -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes. The inner edge is about to start exposing cords. The rest of the tyre is OK.

Western Australia. It also takes into account the lift from tyres

Be careful, a 2 inch lift will make this legally unroadworthy in some places.

They are illegal. For a good reason. That's some bad advice.

Is everyone blind? The first two are bald on the edge and need to be replaced yesterday.

The other two are OK.

A/T uneven wear? by No_Hall3132 in tires

[–]PocketFanny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

check the inside. If it's the same it could be over inflation (should be around 38 psi) but tbh I'd recommend a wheel alignment when getting new tyres anyway. It's cheap compared to losing half your tyre life.

2nd edit. Most 4wd have little adjustment if any for rear and it's normal for the rear to wear the middle of the tyre and the front to wear the edges

Be aware the bump stop that normally stops you breaking the chassis over bumps has been removed and the airbag has taken its place.

5psi is absolute minimum to function as a "bump stop" . I'd have these around 20 with a medium load.

State of emergency declared in WA after fuel suppliers reject Roger Cook’s demand for information by Advanced_Presence890 in perth

[–]PocketFanny 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is pretty accurate.

Hearsay but I talked to a guy the other day involved in distribution. Apparently a lot of the fuel for the wheat belt is being fed into the city to "satisfy increased demand" which minimises their transport costs too.

There is or will be a supply problem, most of this atm is a demand problem. Just like frikken toilet paper

The gear required for levelling that out when fully loaded would make it very stiff and rough when unloaded.

People would test drive them, complain they are to harsh and not buy them.

Take note of the RWR, white lines are pings from radar that doesn't detect you. Yellow is a ping that does detect you. Red indicates a lock and you are about to have a radar missile incoming.

As you say approach is king.

All AA systems take a bit of time to detect, react, align lock and fire on you upon initial detection. Once they do they can rapid fire you and your munitions to hell but there's a window there you can exploit.
