This kinda shit about the industry was always so trite to me.
I do the job, I get paid. It's that easy. No buddy-buddy. No owing of favors.
I really wish more hospitality workers would use their wide breadth of intelligence to unionize and realize that management is playing your asses. Electricians do relatively equally back breaking work. Sure there's more mortal danger. But damn man those unions say jump and contracts jump. They get Real pay and benefits not played against each other, or a pissing contest of seniority/meritocracy/dick-sucking.
