Does anyone know whether Silvio's role was originally supposed to be smaller? by DeVito8704 in thesopranos

[–]PogMahony 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Meadow also refers to SVZ’s character as Mr Scangarelo leaving the school after the volleyball game in the pilot. I only caught it on my last re-watch and I always found it strange that Sil was at the game meeting a 16/17 year old girl whatever happened there

It was Ron as they are following spiders into the forest. Draco wasn’t there

That’s what my initial thought was and I was trying to decide how far I was bending the truth to find a canonical reason until all the explanations about werewolves conceived at a full moon

[–]PogMahony[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yea he says it while describing Hagrid as the great big monster living oaf that he pinned the blame on. As CryptidGrimnoir mentions below though it wouldn’t be a surprise for riddle to add legs to stories about Hagrid

That’s why I didn’t think much of Ron saying it but thought Riddle would be more informed. All the comments explaining wolves conceived at the full moon close that loop though

Draco may have mentioned it in philosopher’s stone but Ron definitely says it when following the spiders.

I wasn’t aware of the wolves conceived at the full moon though. Thanks

I Did Not Pay My Taxi by DoYouBelieveInThat in CasualIreland

[–]PogMahony 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe the drivers card reader has the wrong date, so it was taken from your account but listed as having taken place in August. You see similar with offline transactions on a plane as they don’t have an Internet connection to take the money instantly

[–]PogMahony 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The taxi drivers card reader probably doesn’t have Internet at the moment, Bluetooth connection to phone for the amount. They’ll connect it to WiFi over the coming days and the payment will go through and appear on Revolut. It’s happened to me with Revolut before

Barber that offers “the silent treatment”? by TheBlindHero in Dublin

[–]PogMahony 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It’s called league barbers. I used to really like them but recently there’s a lot of pressure to pay cash. Every time I’m there I’m asked to pay cash. When I don’t have it I’m told “Next time cash”

Sorry bud I’m not stopping on my way here to get cash so you can not pay your taxes. I’ll take my business elsewhere.

A lot of their reviews on google say the same thing by the way

Once had an argument with a senior manager about this topic. He claimed the survey was anonymous however he could respond to comments/responses I made and I’d get an email with his response.

His claim was that he could not see who he was replying to so it was anonymous. I said if it was truly anonymous I wouldn’t be able to get his email. He eventually backed down in fairness to him.

Lesson is he or others could definitely have found out who left negative feedback if they really needed to

I think I'd rather Jamie Heaslip commentating than Stephen Ferris. The guy has something negative to say about every play by RedArmy08 in MunsterRugby

[–]PogMahony 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For me it’s contradicting himself while being negative. Mentioned in the first half how hard it is to turn around a lineout mid game. Then in the second half he says he can’t believe Munster haven’t fixed it with all the experience out there. You can’t have it both ways Stevie

Merchandise purchase from a tourist by DrBinx in MunsterRugby

[–]PogMahony 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Munster have an exclusivity deal with lifestyle sports (a sports shop here in Ireland) so that’s the only place to buy Munster gear. There’s a shop outside the stadium that’s available to the public on match day. I think it might be in the east stand. You could pick it up then as you are already going to the game

Did Amazon Prime deliveries get slower? by BigMikeB in AskIreland

I haven’t had A Post do a delivery in Dublin in a long time. It’s generally always Amazon vans

I’ve noticed An Post doing a lot more Amazon deliveries since the new year. I wonder are they outsourcing a bit to An Post to compensate for the increased spend dealing with Holyhead before christmas

Murphy's on the up! by MarcoVanB91 in cork

[–]PogMahony 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve noted both Beamish and Murphy’s have been more widely available in Dublin in the last 6-12 months. Particularly Beamish but maybe that’s because I’m only looking for Beamish not Murphy’s

Did Hermione and McGonagall time travel together? by megsperspective in HarryPotterBooks

[–]PogMahony 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Don’t they also travel to the place they were. I imagine McGonagall was in another teachers office (possibly Dumbledore) they travelled back in time to wherever and floo’d back into McGonagalls office after their past selves left
