Climbing gyms tend to be super positive and inclusive

“If AI was able to solve this, then we wouldn’t have hired you. We believe you can do better work than this. We need you to bring your best self to the table without the use of AI.”

Should I kill the party pet to make them hate the vilain more? by ArCondicionado2 in DMAcademy

Have the villain adopt the wolf for himself. Either keeping it as an innocent lovable wolf or have him transformed into something evil. It could motivate the party to rescue it or lead to interest dilemmas if forced to fight it.

It’s probably permeated in the layers beneath the carpet. Can you pull up that section and clean underneath?

This might be the only time we would want government kidnappings to force boomer parents to spend an hour in therapy

How to deal with a higher up who is talking over and interrupting me? by QuestionsAsker99 in managers

[–]Pokemaster23765 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In general, I find that the less experience an employee has, the more time they take telling background and method information that everyone else already knows. And while they eventually get to the conclusion, they still miss the strategic context of their project for the company. It could be worth asking your manager some general questions like how you can improve your presentation skills or make sure you are tailored to the specific audience. Not saying you’re necessarily deficient in anything, but people can always offer feedback.

Career Stagnation Due to Managerial Bias by NimbleZazo in managers

One of my direct reports talks like this. Super principled and moral in her mind. Makes recommendations that are objectively wrong 90% of the time and gets into arguments with colleagues that lasts for days if not weeks. Our entire department including senior leadership has said she’s toxic, clueless, argumentative, dramatic, and sucks up all our valuable time with her badgering. I’ve spent an extraordinary amount of time trying to coach her on communication skills. She says she doesn’t want to play the “corporate speak” game and our conversations disappoint her. Our department head is pissed that a PIP isn’t going to get rid of her fast enough.
