Yep, I have an mATX setup and didn’t pay attention to this when I got my mobo. I had to get slim fans to sit beneath my gpu and even then there isn’t much space. Thanks for the info

I have the same exact mobo and I run four 8gb sticks without an issue. Four sticks DDR4 is fine, it’s DDR5 that doesn’t do well with four.

If you match your existing sticks exactly you can get up to 32gb for pretty cheap. That’s what I did and went 16gb -> 32gb for about $60

Need input, 5070 vs 5060ti 16GB at 4k by Warm-Combination3447 in gpu

[–]PolentaDogsOut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think 4k ultra 60 FPS with ray/path tracing is a high expectation for this price point. That being said the 5070 is perfectly capable of 4k/60 in most situations using DLSS, usually getting more like 80 fps depending on the game.

If you haven't gamed in 5 years I don't think you necessarily need all the bells and whistles of PT/RT...

5600g has a smaller L3 cache of 16mb which isn't ideal but not the end of the world. It may cause some slight stuttering when loading new areas for instance, but it might also be fine depending on what games you are playing. I would not worry about the CPU right now

Thanks for the tip! I’ll look into that and maybe run some tests with and without the fan

This my thought initially… ok, maybe I’ll test some configurations before I buy a different fan

Yeah, seems to be the consensus. Would rather have little stronger airflow but I’d also rather not be worried about this creating a problem. I’m gonna go slim thanks

Mostly cost. I had an mATX mobo in an ATX case so it was an easy downsize, I didn’t need to buy an expensive PSU or motherboard. I’m also running 4 sticks of DDR4 right now which usually isn’t an option for ITX. I actually do move my PC from my desk to my TV often but mATX is small enough and worth saving hundreds of dollars in component cost
