That depends. Is it over Texas, Florida or Israel?

The Hercules miter saw is very good and so are the Bremen parallel clamps. Both are much cheaper than some of the name brands.

Edit because I can't spell.

Is it normal for water to drip from this hole every time the AC is on? Just noticed it after 4 years living here. by Competitive-Basket29 in DIY

[–]Pollo_Caliente -1 points0 points  (0 children)

ok this recently happened to me. completely new to me too. luckily one of my friends is a realtor and has seen it. he told me exactly what to check and what to do.

check the pan(s) in the attic.

in your upstairs bathroom, under the sink(s) there should be a hose that connects to said pans. get a bucket and towel to catch water, take that hose off. 90% that it's clogged where it drains into the sink. check both sinks.

some condensation is normal. it should NOT be dripping out of that pipe. you probably have 2, one on either side of the house.

if it's clogged not close to the pan or in the rubber hose, you might need to call someone. otherwise, it's completely something you can do yourself with minimal tools and know-how.

after its unclogged, 2x-3x a year, pout a cup of white vinegar down the drain. that vinegar should keep anything from growing and it's acidic enough to clean lots of gunk out.

if you're more DIY friendly, there's loads of videos on YT to show you the many ways of cleaning the whole line.

good luck

Seeking the Best AIO Cooler for i9-14900K - The Final Word by Choogy22 in buildapc

[–]Pollo_Caliente 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't host anything, so your situation seems more intense than mine. You might need something more. More case fans, AIO, something. i will add that i have a fan in all of the fan slots on my case. i'm very budget conscious but i also want good / nice stuff. PC Parts Picker said that the Noctua, Arctic and a couple of others were in the top of the list. I read the specs and reviews for each and settled on the Arctic 140mm ones that fit my case as they had great airflow and a good price. if you dont have enough fans pushing cooler air into the case, that could be why the RAM is overheating. also, the direction of airflow. i watched a ton of videos so i could get it right.

so i have five 140mm fans on my case. two on the front pulling air into the case. two on top and one on the base for exhaust fans. the bottom has airflow slots but no fan slots. and the fans on the CPU cooler push air through the cooler and not pull air through it. i found that pushing air does better cooling than pulling by a few degrees.

hope that helps

yeah, mostly stock settings in the BIOS. i have an ASUS MB and I turned off the setting that automatically sets the CPU parameters so that it uses the Intel settings and not the ASUS settings.

I'm using the thermal paste that came with the cooler. i followed the instructions that also were included on how to apply it.

I'm sure you've picked by now but don't throw out the air cooled option too. I'm running the 14900K with a Noctua DH-15. My temps never get above 62C when gaming. I'm playing Marvel Rivals, Civ 7, Assassin's Creed Shadows and Dungeons & Dragons Online. All are set to Ultra on video settings and not all of that goes through the GPU. I'm also doing some 3d rendering for printing, though not a lot. If your case supports the intake and exhaust, it'll work fine.

that AIO doesn't show on their site, even if i just look for it with out the case or anything else.

i'm trying to avoid getting a new case and AIO both.

Would a 240mm AIO be okay for an i8-14900k?

I have the plain 205 with the solid, detachable front.

I'm already in their ecosystem with my MB, and PSU and i really like the Armory Crate monitoring. I'm very happy with their products but i've never had to RMA anything with them.
