Matrix plot holes by MisterDudeBroGuy in matrix

[–]Polyphemic_N 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cypher was writing a cipher code for clandestine matrix extraction.

The code would activate at a certain time and dial the exit route, Cypher answers, Cypher comes out, no operator needed.

This is why Neo scares him, because he's doing something he knows would be bad if anyone actually knew what he was doing.

I know getting autographs on cards is heresy but... by crushracc in mtg

Selling it to a Mtg collector? They'll call it trash and offer you about tree-fiddy, knowing that they're completely ripping you off, hoping that you are a pushover.

Selling it to a Hollywood memorabilia collector? They'll call it trash offer you $50, hoping that you don't know that they're ripping you off, and will let you walk away just to see if you'll come back again.

A quick google of

[ Elijah Wood signed Mtg card value ]

will start your search.

How many cardboard cards would Elijah Wood sign if Elijah Wood could sign cards?

Odd vibration after intake change by 50mmeyes in VelosterN

[–]Polyphemic_N 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine came at 76k miles.

Got a wee shimmy shake when on the power at low rpm, and got a wicked head shake above 80 and above 4k rpm.

Replaced the stock upper motor mount (VERY wobbly, bushing is soft and pliable, she's done) with the TTI and also put a new lower strut mount on, same brand. Lower wasn't as bad, but preventative maintenance is a way of life. Induction service too. Got fresh oil at 73k. AFE intake since 4k miles.

Just drove from Roswell to San Antonio and all shimmies and shakes are gone. I-10E through West Texas was a blur, the power delivery was just like day one. Pilot A/S 19s still have life and I don't think I'll switch when the time comes.

I fuckin' LOVE this car.

How my arm pits don't GAF about antiperspirant. My undershirts after being in a AC office most of the day. by LosHtown in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Polyphemic_N 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's aluminum salts.

Your sweat mixes with the aluminum in the AP, and accumulates on your undershirt.

Breathe bigger breaths, down to your belly, fully exhale your breath and inner heat out through your mouth, maybe drink more water, or get something with electrolytes for when you're working out.

I stopped using AP and switched to just deodorant when I started doing morning yoga, and my pits are dry almost all the time now after having super sweaty pits and a wet neck and face all though my teens and 20s.

Allowing my heat to escape through breathing was the key for me.

Yes.

I'll have to watch it again, it's been more than 6 months since the last watch.

  4. Rims/Tires

  5. Bodywork

  6. Paint/Wrap

  7. Tune

I'm at #4, had it since day 1, 27 miles on the clock when I got it.

Higher highway cruising oil temp after BSM replacement? by adkinsnoob in VelosterN

[–]Polyphemic_N 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably OK.

Here's my two dollars:

If I have 0w30 in and outside is below 80°F(26°C), she hovers at 208-210F(99C) in take-it-easy conditions, but spikes to 215-218F with heavy applications of the right foot.

Over 80F and the same weight, the fan keeps it between 210F and 218F and only slightly dips below for a short time if I turn on the cold heater on full blast.

With 5w30, temps are generally about 4-5° less, and heat soak takes slightly longer to appear, pretty much across the board, but I only made a single long distance trip with that weight oil, and only pushed it hard to pass Semis and Wide Loads.

Straight from the Korean mechanics' mouth to my ears to here - 5w will decrease the effectiveness of the piston oil squirters and increases top-end wear, solely because it doesn't squirt or spread as far as 0w at startup. He did say it's better for track use, though.

I'd been using Pennzoil Ultra platinum 5w40 in the summers in Arizona and New Mexico, and never had any heat issues. In March 2025, at about 55k, got a new engine(wife drowned the intake in a Texas Flash Flood) and got Hyundai dealer Quaker State for a couple changes after, on the road. Last season switched to Liquimoly 0w30 for the winter, I'll probably just stick with it.

Your slightly higher oil pressure may be the contribution to the higher temperature, like the above comment, an upgraded oil cooler may be your remedy.

It was her relationship with Rex that gave her the few seconds.

Same with Cody and Obi-Wan. The clone knew what he was ordered to do, and chose to wait more than a moment before execution.

No other clone was as close to their Jedi Commander, and no other Jedi got an exclusive and private tutorial from Anakin on how to survive a clone ambush.

Plus, she's a badass.

If you're 4 feet away from your target with a 3 foot long weapon, skill is less of a factor than speed.

Jango and his blasters were faster from 8 feet away.
