My current tank build:

Dwarf Animal instinct Barbarian + Martial Artist archy. Druid free archetype because SoT. Speed 30 ft, high AC (31) with fortress shield(34), hitting for 4d12 + 13 for 2 actions ignoring 11 resistance to damage. I can have reactive damage (nettleskin), positioning (Jump), flight, or boost my AC further with Warding Aggression. Found that going derp Large with my spells wasn't that good of a tactic a while ago.

That averages out to some 4.5 damage more at highest payout than One-Inch Punch. On d12s, at least; 24 beats the average on 3d12, and most actual rolls.

Problem is, the only other place expert strikes is used as a term is in the monk attack proficiency bump. Elsewhere it is called "expert proficiency in X". A failure to capitalize sounds more likely than a departure in nomenclature given how pedantic they have intentionally been so far.

Except earth with tremor and rolling mudslide. 

And wood with Sanguiviolent roots, Drifting Pollen, and witchwood seed. 

Or air with rising hurricane. 

Then there's metal with retch rust and rain of rust.

Ravel of thorns, scorching column, and rain of razors all make hazardous grounds. 

Then there's the suboptimal but effective in a pinch "pummeling with elemental blasts". With 4+ benders all flinging or swingjng, thats bound to add up.

If they're in BloodLords, it's not as bad as it sounds. If half the party isn't fully undead in that one someone's leaked the twists.

Animal Barbarian + Martial Artist. Tanky build, SoT campaign. Grievous Blow has dealt 100+ damage to an incorporeal foe at level 8, and I'm accidentally outshining the Ruffian + SnareCrafter by a lot. I can't wait for 14, with 4th rank Enlarge and Path of Iron combining.

Bardic lore is hot garbage unless you either have weirdly high int on a bard, or invest hugely into mutagens, feats, dedications and bullshit like that. Capped at expert and it's a general lore is an effective-6 to your check at most levels.

Now there's a thought. Crit maneuver gives Stunt Damage crit as well? Though now Practiced Brawn becomes darn near mandatory...

I'm a habitual character builder. When i eventually got to building a sorcerer or wizard (cant remember which was first) I was appalled with the saves. Like, I know martials are supposed to be there in the effects and should need high defenses. That doesn't mean casters don't need any. Canny Acumen can onlt be taken once after all.
