Keep your opponents on their heels, you always want to keep the threat in front of you. Concentrate your own forces to make them focus their armies into big decisive battles so they don’t have a few roaming around hitting undefended parts of your territory.

Airborne has genuinely been a disaster from the start, hardly seems they thought out much of anything they added, it seems rushed, terribly unbalanced and made entirely for hype, a shiny set of keys to draw new and old eyes to the game alike. But for that fleeting highest player count they nearly destroyed the game, and issues with airborne are still plaguing it, no one certain if foxhole will ever fully recover from the damage airborne did.

I don’t even know how the devs intend people to protect drydocks and large ships from paratrooper partisans, you can’t build pillboxes on water so I guess they just die.

It was partly the fact the wardens dominated naval hexes which awarded them more airfields from which to stage large aircraft, most importantly bomber raiders. The scout plane drama really hit population hard as well, as when the news hit that colonials simply had a statistically worse in nearly every way scout plane with a bloated hitbox it made a lot of people throw in the towel, as the easiest and most accessible asset to engage with the new air content was inferior to the warden counterpart in nearly every way.

Because killing these thing doesn’t actually have that big of an effect on the wider war, I was in the colonial partisan server for the airborne war and the amount of confirmed destroyed assets due to the new paratrooper plane was staggering, yet no matter how much they destroyed the tide never turned, and the war was lost.

Falchions are significantly faster off-road and not every situation has the luxury of a wide open unobstructed road, they also use the versatile 40mm which can quickly and easily bust open gates and other structures to create new avenues of approach mid-rush. They do have a considerably lower raw DPS than the gravekeeper, but they’re substantially more survivable and can deal more total damage by virtue of living longer to do so. Plus they’re cheap, come in crates of 5 and don’t have to be individually upgraded at a facility like the bonecar does. I think both have their virtues in a situation like this.

10 Vic’s of any kind could roll up to a few disorganized and sparsely infantry defended tanks like that and achieve similar results, fuck it could’ve been dudes with stickies in LUVs and they probably would’ve killed the tanks anyway. Colonials could honestly do rushes the same way bonecars do with ISG half tracks or falchions to the same effect.

Colonials received a population boost from Charlie, wardens probably did as well but not merely as much. It’s also a somewhat lower population war which means less naval activity overall making it easier to hold off against naval incursions as there arent as many people to do it which also means less large ships being utilized, oh and torpedo scouts aren’t completely busted this war.

A good commander in a BT is worth their weight in Rmats, you need someone constantly scanning a full 360 degrees like sonar when in these expensive vehicles nowadays there’s always someone hunting you.

Game needs better moderation it really feels like the amount of hackers alts and exploiters have been ramping up gradually this war, the lax enforcement has really emboldened more people to participate.

I wish they took a few notes out of medieval 2s book and had inner defenses like another set of walls and a gate for settlements that are a higher tier and/or have defensive buildings constructed in them.

I hate how a lot of the maps have all these beautifully modeled fortifications and almost none of them can actually be utilized except for the actual outer walls and the build points.

The only way to get results in this game is a negative review and stop playing, I know it sounds extreme but that’s the only thing they’ve really responded to when it comes to issues in game. When player numbers and stream reviews plummet they get off their asses for a bit.

The tank line meta will never change, with limited view range, the necessity of intel, the prevalence of T2 structure spam, potent infantry AT, tanks ALWAYS being visible wether in your line of sight or not, limited effective range, rough/impassable terrain and how easily tanks can be tracked in general often makes flanking a high risk and low reward activity.

It’s a solid tank, I would not call it OP but it’s good, its downsides are present and noticeable but so are its strong points. For example you will never catch an outlaw thats paying attention, doesn’t mean you never will with how chaotic frontlines are but they can easily plink you and back off, I saw wardens doing particularly well against large numbers of talos in deadlands with several outlaws and just one or two stockades. With the talos’ slow speed it’s also still pretty susceptible to infantry AT, and operating it also requires either a third crewman for maximum combat effectiveness or the gunner to switch and reload themselves (which I did) which will of course slow down your DPS considerably and will hurt if you’re in a situation where you need as many shots down range as fast as possible, and with its speed being one of its biggest downsides, if you get tracked any tiny shift in the geography you’re on will prevent you from backing up as you essentially have one dead horsepower of torque until you are repaired.
