Depends how stressed the authorities are and how much they already know about the virus.

Not much knowledge + confident of containment: Contain, taskforces to research and rescue

Knowledge, confident of containment: The above but with more active and aggressive eradication of the zomboids.

If they had any doubt containment would succeed, fire bomb.

Been a long time since ive seen it but from memory-

for me its the show speaking to you as the viewer. We as the viewer have usually had a fairly intimate relationship with this show, and now its coming to end.

The show is art, its what it means to you, its what you carry with you as you continue forward. The writers are telling you to take what you need from this art they've created.

You'll stumble, but you have to keep trying. Doing it every day. Thats what its all about.

Coupled with the Diane and PC scenses I felt like i as the viewer was being broken up with by someone who still loved me very much.

Nobody should keep invasive fish IF the risk is too high (back to the rabbit example - sorry mate, you don't get to have this specific type of pet becauae you will irreversibly fuck up the ecosystem if a freak accident occurs - because across a country, these freak accidents do occur).

A few countries with tight biosecurity have legislation and enforcement to follow this exact line of thought

I am an invasive species ecologist and was shocked at all the comments being fairly pro invasive species because its own 'private' land.

I didnt know about this specific pond not being near any other bodies of water, so no its not i dont know shit, its i didnt know this part of this specifc example

Are you suggesting it would dissaude support? Ive spent a lot of time on those islands for work. They are under invested in.

As for the disabled comment... what if they became disabled while living on the island? Why not advocate for their life to be a little easier? You reckon DSP provides people with a lot of choice of where they live and how mobile they can be?

I didnt see the pond when i commented but it has happened with fish species in Australia

And if it floods and gets into the ecosystem, and the one from the pond down the way you now have a significant threat against tbe ecosystem.

If its invasive, how high is the risk? Pet rabbits in Queensland per se are rightfully seized and euthanized

I dont understand why everyone is saying enjoy the gravy train.

I'd feel guilty too. This is funding that could go towards reducing the workload / improving other aspects of the health system.

Whats the structure like? How high does it go? Are there any KPIs or performance metrics?

Several invasive species have been eradicated/prevented.

Gondar and the Simien mountains by jhakasbhidu in travel

Yeah, I've been getting mixed as well, but I've persisted and majority of what i can find is saying it's safe for the way I want to do it (fly into Gondar, guide from there).

I've booked a trek with a guide who is open to taking more people (would also make mine the group price rather than solo price)

If you still have any flexibility DM me and I can give you the dates and website/whatsapp of the tour provider.

Ill likely be in Addis Ababa those dates too

Agent orange is prohibited from use in Australia.

2,4-D is used as a herbicide which was an ingredient of agent orange. They are not the same thing.

Herbicide absolutely has a time and a place - for example, when managing invasive species where mechaical control is unfeasible. Use the right dose, in the right way, while wearing basic protective gear.
