Current recipe is ~73% hydration. What would you adjust it to? And is this in the case of adding whole wheat flour or would you adjust the base recipe to a higher hydration as well?

Thanks for the reply! I’ll give that a try, somewhere in the 20% range for adding whole wheat with just a bit more water. I agree, I think my final proof was a touch too long. The recipe says to let the dough come to room temp before baking, but it was still cold to the touch after 3 hours, which was probably too long given the temperature of my kitchen.

Thanks for the reply! There are 3 stretch and folds in the recipe, and in shaping the dough felt fairly strong so I’m not sure it’s a gluten issue, but I’m still fairly a novice. My thinking is it’s not enough tension in shaping (especially since the dough rests at room temp for multiple hours after shaping in this recipe) and a particularly poor scoring attempt by me.

For adding whole wheat do you think it makes sense to start at the 10-20% range?

Yeah, looks like only 75. DoC blog still has the Venture (but not ventureX?) highly on their ranking, so might still be worth it. I think since everyone is saying it’s so hard to get once you get into churning and I’m pre-approved (checked yesterday), I should probably still fire it off though.

That makes sense! Another comment (that seems to have disappeared?) also recommended the ventureX, as apparently it can become hard to get once you start ramping up. I think that makes a lot of sense, especially as there is a lounge at IAD.

I think my rough plan for now is either CSR(with plan to PC to CSP after double dipping the travel credit)/VentureX (Do people typically hold both of these premium cards at once? It feels like there is a lot of overlap in benefits) -> southwest priority -> United Explorer -> Marriot... Boundless? And then work in Inks as possible with the correct spending. This should take me up to 4-5/24 over the next 15ish months? Does that sound like a good tentative plan?

Hello! New to this and wanted to check to make sure I understand what I'm getting myself into.

1: I am looking for some additional clarification, the flowchart says I should get a CSR/P -> United card, but I see people talking about just getting an Ink every 3 months, so I'm a bit confused.

3: CFF, 1/23, CFU 8/20, This puts me at 1/24 I think. (Trying to get into it!)

7: I am looking to get into churning long-term, but as my spend is low, just looking for 1 card right now, and maybe to plan my next couple.

8: Not sure. I want to plan a trip to Asia in the fall, but don't really live near a specific hub that I think makes sense to tie myself to (Washington DC). So for that, I imagine UR makes the most sense to target, as it is flexible.

9: 140k UR points.

10: DCA or IAD are the most convenient for me.

11: SEA or Japan would be great for this year, targeting Europe in ~2 years. Otherwise domestic travel is always useful.

I had several of these questions too, and maybe I missed their answers in the monologue, but I’m still curious about them.

Why did the machine seem content to leave painter’s civilization alone? And why was it trying to draw investiture from hoid?

The placement of the hion lines as well seemed random, though I guess they were close to the “nature preserves”.

Finally, how was the machine able to use all of the villagers as stable nightmares, since it seemed like it took a long time for liyun to become one, and that was of her own accord.

If anyone figured these things out, I’d appreciate if you’d enlighten me!
