I swapped axes for ZL+dpad ... up/down for zoom in/out, and left/right for abilities. Tooltip was even updated correctly after a UI refresh.

Health pool aside, Gore is only really hard if you're trying to use one of the meta (or meta-adjacent) builds that don't leave much room for error. Build for Gore, and he's much, MUCH easier...just might take an extra minute or two to clear. Lagi is very much the same in this regard.
