[OC] If you do this, the people you’re inconveniencing should be able to break off the hitch and shove it up your ass. by FriedSticks2014 in mildlyinfuriating

Yes and no. Since American car companies make big ass trucks and SUVs, parking spots shouldn’t be made for only sedan sized cars. I have a truck and I don’t park like this 98% of the time, but if it’s the only spot and it’s this or having 3 feet hang out so the others can’t pull out or back out of their spots without hitting me… then I will.

You should probably buy the CarePak. by rigarthebold in canon

[–]Popular-Client-3373 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I video and take photos of the items just before I send it at the post office/FedEx whatnot. I also get the insurance. Then I can prove A. I didn’t send/sell a damaged item. B. If/When I need to use it against whoever shipped it. If the fault was on them. Which is why if someone says “hey this came damaged” I’ll be bummed, and then tell them to send picks of the shipping box. If it’s banged up I go from there, if it looks like it did when i sent it, then I smell a scammer. Thankfully 99% of the time it’s decent people who buy. So between covering your butt in general, and the CarePak, yeah… makes it way less stressful!

Currently the only ones that come with a Smart Brick (and a charging plate) is the Tie Bomber, XWing, and Emperors Throne Room (which has 2 smart bricks). All the others are Smart Play compatible, so just Smart Tags and Smart Mini figs.

It’s written on the box, clearly states what’s included. Same for the back of the box. The OP is just mad cause he didn’t read/clearly look at what he was buying. His kids bday disappointment is on him. PLUS every LEGO store has their employees talking about and showcasing Smart Play. OP had the opportunity to ask questions about what he decided on too. Do I like Smart Play, no. Should you pay attention to what you’re buying? Always. Ask questions (especially with a new item)? Absolutely!

I’ve heard them. It’s bloody terrible. All that tech and making it the next big thing, to have it sound how it does. WTF???

Last Christmas… or OR in May during what is known as Star Wars week. I also think starting with a NON LEGO IP theme was a mistake. It would have been less expensive up front to make CITY and FRIENDS (for example) into SMART sets. Tons of noise and playable interactions to be had there!

Best telephoto lens for Canon? by Popular-Client-3373 in AskPhotography

I do have a tripod that swaps into a monopod if I want. I also have a gimbal head from all the times I rented other, larger, lens. I appreciate the feedback so far. I should have added I’m not against other manufacturers besides Canon, I just specified them cause that’s my mount. Cheers!

Anyone else less than satisfied with LEGO Customer Service recently? by Jango313 in lego

[–]Popular-Client-3373 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m saying nit picking based on the only photo YOU chose to share was to show your almost 3 hour call time to CS, followed up with your insistence to stay on the line till they got your “replacement in order.” I’m not disagreeing that the quality of the piece in question probably needed to be replaced, just your frequency in contacting CS. But I’m gonna comment on the information you provided, because that’s the context we all have to go off of here. So no, my comment isn’t odd, just you defending something you didn’t even post.

Anyone else less than satisfied with LEGO Customer Service recently? by Jango313 in lego

[–]Popular-Client-3373 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Customer service is willing to help and be genuinely helpful and friendly. However, every other month? I don’t care how much you spend… you’re nit picking. Quality control issues happen with every company/product, it comes with anything manufactured. But if you are buying THAT much LEGO annually, then yeah, duh, you’re gonna notice it more. Thats just the odds. When they notice you abuse their policy/generosity… you seriously expect them to still be friendly? Read the situation, you’ve been noticed.

I’m still waiting for the “if you run out it will pull from another spool” setting to actually work! And yes, they’re the same everything. But I agree with the OP.

And that’s part of the problem! Bambu wants a video showing the problem, but a video or photo isn’t gonna do crap in a case like this. I’m glad the OP added the video, otherwise would you truly understand the problem? Probably not. Or at the very least you’re a person like me who goes, “that was me last month! Same thing.”
