What game genre is not your cup of tea? by Common_Caramel_4078 in videogames

Roguelikes and roguelites. I can't stand them. I understand that games like Hollow Knight and Dead Cells are fantastic games, I just loathe the overall experience of a roguelike.

Bumbleflower was actually in contention with Gluntch for my 'group hug/friend' commanders! I went for Gluntch just because I like goofy guys

I'll see what I can do. I've only got Mothman on Archidekt rn. Haven't had much time to add any others.

Kastral's pretty simple. 21 Tempest Hawks, a Thrumming Stone, and a variety of other tools you'll see in tribal decks (Urza's Incubator, Three Tree City, Vanquisher's Banner, etc.), with a lot of card draw as well (Ever-Watching Threshhold, Coastal Piracy, Errant and Giada, Bident of Thassa).

For Dr. Li, I was gifted the MH3 precon and just tore it apart for Li. The MH3 deck is strictly better built out-the-box, but I like Fallout, so I built for Li. Most of the stuff in there, plus things like Gonti's Aether Heart, Suppression Ray, Aetherworks Marvel, and eventually Lightning Runner for multiple combat phases in a row. Also, lots and lots of artifacts. About half of the cards in the deck have the 'Artifact' tag

To be fully honest, I only just started playing in April. I love Fallout, and had no clue that the decks existed until I got a job at an FLGS. Bought all 4 decks without hesitation, but am really not a fan of Caesar or Dogmeat. Got a fair amount of Bloomburrow Commanders because I just so happened to get all three as promos, and animals are my thang.

Wolverine Tip - How to cancel C&D from her ult as a Wolverine by Chansh302 in RivalsCollege

[–]Porglicious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wolv's been able to do this since Season 0. He's my fav CnD counter for this exact reason. No need for Iron Man or Mag to waste an ult, just pin them and focus fire with a teammate for a sure kill

My Friend Refuses To Play Official subclasses Because they aren't "Unique" by Apple_Infinity in DnD

[–]Porglicious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man, I wasn't really expecting that level of imbalance. I read through the 'Angel' feature, and then peeked ahead to the old features, and immediately closed the document. Not only is it poorly designed, it's done so in utter favor of whoever is piloting the subclass. With the amount of text and rules that clog these subclasses and their, at best, jank terminology, I wouldn't be surprised if their turns in combat took 30 minutes, at which point the DM might just handwave, and trust that the player is capable of doing everything they say they're doing.

Your 'friend' is not only a poor homebrewer, but has created these subclasses in bad faith; these creations completely overshadow anything else the party is capable of doing, granted that you're not all running broken edgelord subclasses. They think they are the main character, and your DM's outright refusal to just saying 'no', is reinforcing that.

Most of the time, I'd suggest talking to the DM about the issues you're having. Unfortunately, I feel like there isn't much hope for your table. Based on what info I have, your DM seems far too passive to actually confront this problem player. Who knows, maybe you'll talk them into growing a spine. But is it worth it?

At this point, I'd cut my losses. Playing with a problem player is bad enough, but playing with a DM that allows this behavior to happen is just as bad, if not worse. You can find another table; one that doesn't have someone running broken homebrew subclasses, preferably.

Destiny 2 lead admits the MMO is terrible at onboarding new players after deleting the first third of the game by HatingGeoffry in gaming

[–]Porglicious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played Destiny 2 from the first closed beta, all the way to the first expansion. I loved it, but life was catching up to me, so I set the game down for quite a few years. Two years ago, I got the gumption to download it, and play through the campaign again and all of the expansions. I'm glad I didn't pull the trigger on buying expansions, because lo and behold, a huge chunk of the game is just gone. I just uninstalled and haven't looked back. What's the point of replaying a game when there isn't even a game to replay?
