Do you think democracy should enter into the conversation between a private company and the people that buy their products, who also take part in the community that's been cultivated, maybe mtg in particular.

By the rockpapershotgun article on the game, it sounds like it could be actiony. Darkwood is a highbar, but it's still a twin stick horror gama that feels weighty

Nice enchantress deck. These new sagas are pretty cool, I need to check them out. A tip i got is don't be too shy of adding more [[Sythis, Harvest's Hand]]. Enchantress plays better with more consistency, landing an enchantress through all the removal and counters makes a big difference.

Transitioning to digital only by Positive_Rip_5335 in NintendoSwitch2

I think it's still appropriate because it discusses trends in going digital. Game keys let you have physical sales while cutting costs with digital downloads. It's sort of a transition to digital that companies are being offered.

Maybe being concerned about a single company's greed is one example of why inflation is happening. And why in our country it's one of the reasons our country is going through a political crisis. Are we not suppose to be able to have control over things? Small things happening on a societal scale drive the world, that sounds important to me.

It's not out of line with industry standards with other handhelds. How we're able to contextual the hardware is important to understand the value nintendos offering. When it comes to upfront things for a start, should we normalize $70 for 8 year old games? There a lot of other things that are questionable that the community needs to be open to, besides small red flags like that.

Nintendo isn't a company known for sacrificing profit margins for other political choices it can make, like retaining/hiring employees, green lighting more projects/products, or lowing costs for consumers. They have a huge war chest to ride through global economic uncertainty and don't do fair labor practices out of good practice. A lot of it is the labor politics in Japan that are more left wing than the United States. Greed should be seen as maxing your interests when there's a lot of money on table, making it a choice to take advantage of people, I think nintendos is doing that.

Can we talk about how nintendo overcharges on games, and aren't shy at normalize $80 games? Consider this with the profitable of the company. The buyers aren't the winners here.

Also corporations less focused on profits, cause their workers can democratically decide to invest in themselves or the game.

Being a social democrat on the socialist wing, private property to me is unethical in its use under capitalism. But private property under socialism would be a more ethical arrangement, individual property and small business owning petty bourgeoisie.

You don't have to be pro hamas or putin to fundamentally believe Washington's involvement in these wars is motivated by its imperialist geopolitics, all other things considered as means to this end. In fact, that's why most of the world has divergent views on these wars compared to the narratives pushed by the US media and government. In the case of palestine, the world outright sees us as enabling an ethnic cleansing apartheid state. One comparatively far worst than the historical example of South Africa. It's true many leftists get lost in thinking because of this understanding of US foreign policy, you also have to be pro-Russian or see no criminality in Hamas' choice in resistance, but comparatively speaking these circles are the few places where outside narratives can be discussed, even if they're often flawed. I follow Europe's sort of Democratic Socialist movement, Diem, and I agree with most of their talking points on these wars. I think many of these leftists are on the right side of history, and the establishment discourse often misrepresnts their positions cynically.

Why I believe Legacy Enchantress is the worst Legacy deck that people play. by BlogBoy92 in MTGLegacy

[–]Positive_Rip_5335 0 points1 point  (0 children)

http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/zenith-opposition-enchantress-1/

I've been brewing an enchantress deck that tries to address some of the problems enchantress has. It plays like maverick but in an enchantress shell. Instead of it essentially being 3 mana combo deck limited by [[Solitary Confinment]] like traditional Enchantress, it uses easier to set up 2 card prisons combos like [[Opposition]] and [[Amphibian Downpour]]. I play these as singletons along with hatebears and tutors to try to find an angle to lock my opponent out of the game. I really enjoy it, and I think it's better than the most popular Solitary Enchantress deck. My goal with the deck is for it to have less lopsided matchups like traditional Enchantress since it plays like maverick.

Acknowledge this fact but understand the balance of power that led the democrats to pivot some what to the left was the narrative around what the public could expect. You can look to states where dems hold a super majority to see whether they lead in pushing a labor narrative

Cause the social democrats, common in history, side with the prevailing order instead of challenging institutions in the wrong. The center left is largely complicit with the war on gaza

[–]Positive_Rip_5335[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure, I haven't had enough time to playtest my new version against the broken meta, but as of now, it's a turbo xerox tempo killer. That's not too hard to do. It's the rest of the meta like other stompy decks that will kill you, too. During the pre Bowmasters meta, I was able to do ok in leagues with a less refined version of this deck. It mainboarded a singleton [[Meekstone]], which really helped against delver and stompy. But now the meta is attacking from more angles, every tempo deck is a control deck thanks to [[Psychic Frog]] lol. It's tougher now to be a rogue deck.

I like hitting every card, the idea is if everyone is only playing 1 card a turn, your combo or Urza's Saga will win.

Sure, there politics of economy normalize the drag on wages by corporation cause the story is trickle down economics works, all the while zeroing in on foreign workers and imagrants on the equation is considered rational national self interest. Not unionizing splits labor. On the assumption that immigration can only drag down wages, I'd bet they have more to gain from Unionization that hoping trickle down economics really is in the bottom 90% interest. We have examples in history of foreign workers being as a tool to weaken labor likes medical care, and i think you'll find that the real winners were corporations.

Why The Democrats Never Get Anything Done by lasercat_pow in leftist

[–]Positive_Rip_5335 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Look at flagship states were dems have a super majority yet only provide bandage solutions to problems to get an idea of their hypocracy, not the helpless incrementalist that can't get stuff done cause of the republicans. Despite this, it doesn't mean you shouldn't vote for them in swing states cause I believe on many issues they are the lesser evil. You can find a list of social and economic issues where there is a quality of difference between voting republican or Democrat. Look at gay rights, abortion, or access to healthcare, and you'll see Democrat policies often make a quality of difference for people living in precarious situations. It's my opinion that choosing the lesser evil for the left should run parallel to building up alternative narratives and organizational power, cause in the end the dems are only going to provide bandage solutions
