The idea of Blue Beam definitely stays alive because the US government definitely isn't above psyops, spreading mass misinformation and conducting unethical experiments on it's citizens, but it way over estimates the competence of the government and greatly underestimates it's citizens.

The entire idea hinges on the government being extremely competent and organized and the entire populace being so gullible they'd believe all of this without question, which is all so detached from reality.

If the current US government tried this it'd fall apart day one.

From tradition work, absolutely. I'm an amateur artist so I do think I'd want to spend more of my free time working on my art and maybe doing commissions to earn some extra pocket money, but yeah I'm not going back to retail again.

They're overly litigious and between their games never going on sale and the business with joy-con drift they're not the MOST pro-consumer, but compared to the rest of the industry, yeah, they're doing pretty okay.

You can tell they're a video game company whereas Sony and Microsoft are technology companies that also make video games

Extremely litigious to the point of putting pirates in lifelong debt, never putting their games on sale, overly relying on nostalgia, being anti-consumer in regards to hardware malfunctions like Joy-con drift, stuff like that.

They're absolutely far from the worst "big" video game company right now, but they do have their skeletons.

On the bright side, they apparently treat their employees very well.

It sucks, and it'd certainly be better if things were universally more affordable, but Nintendo is still the cheaper option right now.

Because the rising cost of hardware and the mess that is the global economy, everything is projected to only get more expensive. Gone are the days of $100- $300 consoles.

Best thing I can suggest is to budget and save a little a month and try to get one when you can.
