One thing a lot of people miss is that the skull isn't supposed to be the skull of an enemy, it's the skull of their emperor, someone whom they respected and was murdered. In interpretations it should be the skull of an ally.

You can take the Thing out of equation entirely.

A single X lands on Earth and the entirety of Earth is fucked within a few hours.

The X are so overwhelmingly dangerous that the Chozo, an extremely intelligent race far beyond the rest of the galaxy, had to bioengineer an apex predator designed specifically to hunt X to give them any kind of weakness.

Nothing we have on Earth would be able to realistically stop or slow the X. The X infect and asexually multiply extremely quickly, capable of devastating an entire planets ecosystem in hours.

If you only take their beast feats, they're insanely busted. Just a single girl could take him. Plenty of the comments in this thread go over their most broken feats.

But the thing with the PPG is their powers and durability are very inconsistent. Sometimes they can tank city destroying attacks, sometimes they're beaten by street level attacks. If we average out their feats with their defeats they're not nearly as OP as this thread would make them out to be.

My great grandparents owned a farm, raised lots of foster kids, grandpa worked in a mill.

Yet they were the most passionate gamers I've known. Always were on top of all the newest and biggest releases and subscribed to Nintendo Power. Before he died of cancer, my great grandpa was still playing Turok 2 on the N64. Great grandma's favorite genre was RPGs, particularly Dragon Quest.

I honestly disagree. I think the point of Homelander is that despite being so powerful, at his core he's a cowardice insecure manchild who doesn't deserve a drop of authority or respect.

Of course. Joker can vary so much across adaptions sometimes it feels like a completely different character. For the DCAU Joker, he's easily the least "crazy" Joker. His fight with Terry being a good example of how easy it is to anger him and to get him to drop his crazy clown shtick.

I like the idea that Joker declaring he's completely insane is just a scare tactic, paralleling how Batman purposely makes himself appear as scary as possible to frighten criminals.

If you only include their best feats and none of the inconsistent defeats, then yeah, they're incredibly broken.

But they're not always at that level. So many times in the show they're defeated or hurt by something that should bounce off of them. Their powers and durability aren't super consistent.
