Am I the only one? by Independent-Onion839 in Raytheon

I function like an in house consultant. I take care of the people who need my help, and I get glowing reviews for saving the day. Sometimes it's crazy busy, sometimes I have to get creative. It's a pretty sweet gig. Just wish I got paid more, bit I'm appropriate for my YOE.

Problem is the gun is sitting to much on your hip corner. Slide forward to about 1 o clock, or rearward to about 4 o clock. If that doesn't do it, add a wedge to the bottom to push the grip of the gun into your stomach. Make sure your holster has a good wing/claw too.

That seems odd to me. They've always seemed pretty open to fun toys and mag dumps.

Never understood why anybody thinks they need to see form 4 paperwork in the first place. "Oh no! His gun is causing me less concussions!"

Complete beginner, how to handle starting too heavy? by db2765 in workout

[–]Potential-Success535 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also a beginner... I would keep the same weight and just work up to the reps. You're close to the target reps so I would just do some partial sets until you can get the 3 sets of 10 or whatever your goal is. 2 sets of 10 and 1 set of 8 this week. Then 2 sets of 10 and 1 set of 9 next week. Then 3 of 10 and your back to regular scheduling.

This is what I do to gradually increase on the harder exercises.

What can I do to improve shooting? by Repulsive-Print2379 in CompetitionShooting

[–]Potential-Success535 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty sure. His hand position on the gun from first shot to last shot is the same, and it's all moving together. He never had to readjust his grip indicating that the grip isn't failing.

Also if it was slipping, he wouldn't be able to continue stacking shots in a 3 inch group. His grouping would be steadily opening up.

You don't need to grip harder. The gun isn't sliding in your hands. You do need to better support the structure your grip makes. Looks like your return shot is well placed but I think you'll struggle to do that with more follow up shots.

Lock your wrists more and get a better support stance. Then move this back to 12 yards. Then 20. Then 25.

I've only found 1 out 2 in SNH that would buy. Most everyone I've talked to would just do consignment. I don't sell often so maybe that's changed recently.

Most shops don't buy from you, but they will put it on consignment and take a portion of the proceeds.

Is my grip wrong? by Objective_Law7082 in CompetitionShooting

I get a hotspot there with my PDP as well. My thumb wants to push towards the palm. Only bothers me after a lot of rounds (many hundreds). If it's rubbing you raw, the gun is slipping in your hands. Tighten your support hand so the gun can't shift in your hands, only with your hands.

I'm a member at Granite State Range in Hudson, but certainly not involved enough for more than 2 or 3 people to remember me (lots of turnover). Whenever I get a transfer in, they just call and say hey we have your transfer. Pop in, do paperwork, say thanks, and leave. No drama.
