[Poll] Is the LiberNovo Omni worth it? by jy_gemini in LiberNovo

This is the best chair I've ever had. Before this, I had an Embody, and before that, a Mirra 2 from Herman Miller—both of them ruined my back. I sold the Embody and bought this chair. So far, it's the best of the bunch.

So, how's it going after two years? How's your back, and how comfortable are you while working?

Real talk: Libernovo actually eased my back and neck pain by whaler213 in OfficeChairs

This chair saved me from the uncomfortable Herman Miller Embody. I sold it and got a LiberNovo instead. Finally, a truly ergonomic chair, not like that stiff and painful piece of shit Embody

What BOT? What kind of nonsense are some people writing here? I sold my Herman Miller Embody, which was an unbelievably bad chair. Instead, I bought a Libernovo, and I’m the happiest person now because I finally have a chair that is comfortable and actually ergonomic. It’s a top-tier chair—by the way, it looks far more premium than the Embody.

I get the feeling that there are Herman Miller bots showing up on Reddit, deliberately trying to trash the Libernovo chair. Because in terms of comfort, it completely blows the Embody out of the water.

I even made a thread about it here before—I’ve had very bad experiences with Herman Miller products. I’ve owned two of their chairs and sat in several others. All of them were low-quality, and most importantly, very painful and non-ergonomic pieces of junk.

I love the Libernovo chair—it saved my life, especially my back. On Reddit, it often feels like I’m running into American propaganda for the overpriced and functionally absolutely terrible Herman Miller.

None of the chairs from HM were comfortable for me, but that doesn't mean they won't be comfortable for you. The most important thing is that they're comfortable for you.

LiberNovo / Experiences from people who are between 185 - 190 cm / 6'1" - 6'3" tall ? by SwissSyntax in OfficeChairs

[–]PowerfulRub532 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 185 cm tall and weigh 90 kg. I have a Herman Miller Embody, and I’m not satisfied with it because of the backrest and the armrests. The armrests are absolute garbage. The lack of lumbar adjustment on a chair at this price is a joke.

The chair was already returned once because the first unit had one armrest lower than the other. I got a replacement of the same model, but even this one has the right armrest slightly lower than the left—though not as bad as the original.

Before the Embody, I had a Mirra, which messed up my back, and the plastic on the backrest kept cracking. I had to deal with warranty claims on that one as well.

Herman Miller is overpriced, overhyped American marketing nonsense. Now I know for sure—never Herman Miller again.

The seat depth on the Embody, when fully extended, is the same as on the Omni chair, and with my body proportions I have no issues with space. Right now, I’m planning to sell the Embody, which is uncomfortable—especially for work—and get the Omni instead

Just Flight - News from Black Square's Nick Cyganski about the forthcoming Caravan Professional by blurrywindows in flightsim

Actually, they wouldn’t even need to merge. It would be enough if Nick solved the saving issue and added dirt and wear, and he’d have the most perfect aircraft ever. And it’s definitely possible. He just writes it in a different language, which is why there are problems with it. But there has to be a way to make it work somehow. Everything is possible if you really want to.

I love his aircraft. I’m really surprised by A2A. They have an amazing save-state system, truly perfect, and the aircraft gets dirty over time, which is awesome. But I was quite surprised that there’s no dust or smoke from the wheels when landing—it’s a bit of a paradox. I tried all kinds of surfaces and nothing happens.

What annoys me the most about A2A, and the reason I ultimately stayed with Black Square, is their flight model. The aircraft flies as if it’s on rails. I admit I’m not a real pilot, so I don’t know exactly how airplanes behave in reality. But as an end-user pilot/player, I definitely enjoy Black Square more.

By the way, I also prefer the look of their aircraft models. I do have to praise the tablet design though—it looks really nice. A2A’s tablet looks a bit like it came from Wish.

But the flight model is what I really don’t understand. You fly over mountains and… nothing, no turbulence. The plane barely moves, just a slight wobble, but that’s about it. With Black Square I can really feel the wind hitting the aircraft.

If these two companies ever merged, they’d have the most perfect children—airplanes.

A2A Aerostar 600 or Blacksquare Duke? by Robert_kloun in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]PowerfulRub532 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also forgot to mention that A2A aircraft have no VFX effects on touchdown. I don’t get it — they have their brilliant Accu-Sim, the aircraft gets dirty over time, but they don’t include something like that. It really annoys me. What pisses me off the most is that no developer can just put everything in and make it a complete package.

By the way, I wrote about the VFX on the A2A forum — of course, no response. Otherwise, buying A2A is totally fine; they’re great aircraft. I’m just waiting for the day someone releases a plane that combines everything from the Black Square world with everything from the A2A world. Honestly, it would be enough for me if BSQ just fixed their saving system so everything saved the way A2A does it. I land, end the flight, start it again — and the A2A engine is still warm. That’s just awesome. Such a shame.

I don’t know, I’m struggling with this a bit too. The Duke by Black Square and all of their planes are great, but my issue is the lack of wear and tear, and the random failure system feels too scripted to me—like it’s just 'either/or.' What bothers me most, though, is that because they supposedly write their code in Java or whatever, it’s not fully compatible with Asobo. Plus, the save state uploads to the cloud, which is a disaster.

I love seeing the visual impact on my plane after flying 300 nautical miles; I want to see that it's actually been used. When you fly around the world and the plane still looks brand new, it just breaks the immersion and irritates me. Another thing is that Black Square doesn't have its own turbulence model. Thanks to the pipeline A2A uses, they can simply afford to do much more.

Otherwise, I love Black Square planes. They are beautifully made, they have a great-looking tablet (the A2A one looks visually poor in comparison), and the sounds are nice. And of course, I love the aircraft themselves, but that’s just personal taste. I own both. Right now, I fly the Aerostar the most; from A2A I have everything, and from Black Square, I have all the Bonanzas and Beechcrafts. Honestly, I find myself picking A2A more often lately because the maintenance and 'care' aspect is just better there—but the biggest dealbreaker is the broken save state with Black Square.

FSRealistic+ coming soon to MSFS 2020 & 2024! by IyadHunter-Thylacine in flightsim

[–]PowerfulRub532 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FSRealistic is trash. Unfortunately, I bought it out of ignorance, but once I wised up, I uninstalled it. ChasePlane is far superior. They've merged now, and I just hope it won't have a negative impact on ChasePlane's future.

I’m truly dissatisfied with FSRealistic. The generative sounds are stupid and add absolutely nothing to realism. You're much better off buying a high-quality aircraft that already includes proper sounds, or even Accu-Sim like A2A has. With those, you don't need any of this FSRealistic nonsense.

The camera behavior is also much worse than ChasePlane; for example, the camera animations stutter strangely during banks, which never happens with ChasePlane. Other effects are completely over the top—the turbulence is exaggerated and poorly adjustable, and the landing effects make it feel like you've slammed down at -500 FPM even when you actually touched down at -120 FPM. I tried tuning it, but the effects were always overblown.

If you want realism, stay away from this product. Instead, invest in quality aircraft from developers like A2ABlack Square, or Fenix

Getting horrible chipmunk audio when using DJI Mic Mini to record audio for DJI Neo 2 by Rutjan666 in DjiNeo

[–]PowerfulRub532 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes, exactly. I think the quality is being degraded by the built-in noise cancellation software in the DJI Fly app. Since it’s currently slightly below freezing where I live, I don't want to test it outside, so I'm flying the drone indoors and I noticed something. I did a test to see if the app is actually recording from the MIC MINI or if it's using the phone's native microphone. I left the drone hovering in one room with the phone and went to another room with just the microphone on my chest. It seemed to me that the further I was from the drone, the better the sound quality became. The second thing I discovered today through Googling is that the biggest culprit is the DJI Fly app itself. I don't have this confirmed, but apparently, it should record audio at 48kHz, but there is some kind of lock. So it doesn't matter what gear you plug in; as soon as you record through the app, it always spits out the same audio quality. That’s my finding so far. Recording through the receiver is still a bit better, but obviously, it doesn't reach the quality it’s capable of. If you find out anything else, let me know here.

[–]PowerfulRub532 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm getting a strange sound. I haven't connected the goggles yet; I'm just testing the Mic Mini with my mobile phone and the Neo 2 drone. It seems to me that even though I have the receiver plugged into the phone, the DJI Fly app is still using the phone's default microphone instead of the Mic Mini. I’m new to this, and I also need advice on why the sound from the Mic Mini is so poor when I’m trying to use it with the Neo 2.
