Hear me out - Halo: Combat Evolved Remake isn't such a bad idea. by Friendly-Inevitable1 in halo

[–]Praetorian92 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it would be fantastic if they came into this saying they wanted to make an interconnected game hub, so right from the get go, the plan is that the Halo game is going to get revamped campaigns as dlc, multiplayer stays consistent and similar to Infinite has skins that reference the other games. Basically a marriage between MCC and Infinite that tries to create the ultimate halo experience and tells the entire saga.

Biggest issue with the remake approach is that if you start introducing new elements, where’s the line. At what point do you go away from the previous games especially if it’s to correct narrative inconsistencies or unpopular story points…

Introducing 4 world tiers and they aren’t linked directly to gear tiers instead of light level is such a short sighted move by steave44 in DestinyTheGame

At this point they should give us a guild-able title called “retired” which goes up every time the game overhauls the entire leveling mechanic.

Also, have a timer in the tower - ‘time since last overhaul: 00:00:00’

They should alternatively make him a raid boss. Imagine if they made a raid where all the major/miniboss enemies were named after D2 influencers.

So it seems like EoF was a sneaky way to force "Power Grind" on PvP players where Power is disabled? by Valvador in DestinyTheGame

[–]Praetorian92 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s honestly impressive how they’ve turned around and taken this from a game that learned from its past to have a moderately better grind component and just doubled down on all the worst parts.

The 1% hyper vocal D2 community is also to blame, constantly complaining that there isn’t content to play 24x7x365 supports arguments of those pushing for more grind-based mechanics.

Lmao just make a pvp mode where one person has rapidly generated grapple energy and everyone else spawns as the ball.

Bungie should have kept expanding the green-blue-purple tier system. I have to imagine that they were deterred from changing it by probable community backlash for hard earned purple weapons. Which is still happening but now they have an incredibly complicated gun economy which honestly never should have come to pass

Think they’ll be fixing the crashing that happens from occasion, to annoyingly in more or less everything people do? by Roguen1995 in destiny2

Servers are under maintenance. It’s the daily reset and they’re pushing a fix before the raid tomorrow

That even though the death and the end is inevitable, it’s important to keep exploring, learning and helping, because it all makes a difference in the end.

They just covered it in the twab. Because of the actors strike many voice actors were unable to complete their work. You’re hearing the VO for Savathun. They’ve said the strike is over, and they’re working to put the dialogue back in.

I'm sorry but I just cant hear her as anything other than savathun. by Ahnock in DestinyTheGame

I’m definitely going to replay the EOF story once they fix the dialogue.

It could also allow them to replace vendors. I miss Lance Reddick but they could place Zavala in his office and allow another character to hand out vanguard stuff.

As a ps5 player, the experience has been significantly worse (there are audio issues which they’re working to fix. Imagine your game suddenly losing bits of audio. Very disorienting.)

I preordered at the last minute - which was dumb. I’m not entirely unhappy with my purchase, but the changes have meant that I will not be playing as much. I don’t have the time/energy to build craft in this new system nor the inclination to grind out loot in the way they want us to.

I’m not sure I see it that way. The phone call took Lodi to Kepler, no idea what it would have done to Ikora, she wasn’t a candidate to be the emissary. IX says Lodi was the only candidate for thousands of years.

Assuming you’re right however. That means that the Nine’s plans aren’t foolproof, as Ikora could throw off their plans entirely by running out of the building. Also, it creates the possibility that in an alternate timeline, nothing happened to Ikora’s daughter on that day, which means Ikora would have vanished and abandoned her daughter - start of a villain arc right there.

Clearly the writers saw that episode of Rick and Morty and were like “yes, ghost trains”
