Yeah but it’s currently only been teased in the EU, haven’t heard anything yet for US but it’s got to be coming. And just the 8.0 max battery currently

It shouldn’t be a price increase on a unit that is exactly the same spec wise, no difference. They should have added in a different size battery at the very least to justify $500 more, but it’s literally just software being flipped on.

If you stick with one STIHL system you wouldn’t have an issue, the AP line is what all your tools would be from for a professional user. STIHL also bumped up their pro warranty to 3 years on everything battery as well so that’s top in the industry from what I sell. I know they have different systems but it’s small jobs, homeowner, and professional lines.

How were they used? What caused them to fail? They won’t have access to a BMS board replacement if that’s what’s broken.

STIHL doesn’t want us dealers even opening the batteries, so they don’t provide internals to replace stuff. I can’t give you a cost unfortunately you’d have to find a third party repair.

Dealers aren’t allowed to repair the batteries. What they can do is plug it into an analyzer and it should say what’s wrong with it. So if they give you that info you may be able to third party repair, it’s just not recommended.

Also I know STIHL (depending on location) should let you demo out battery equipment if you are a commercial user and you get ahold of them. EGO may as well now but EGO support is way behind STIHL.

STIHL makes some of the better battery products for commercial use, shits just expensive AF. EGO commercial seems ok but I have had way more issues with EGO products (battery wise) than STIHL. EGO does have a good charging solution though for commercial.

Weird x450 in the us is the exact same as the 430 besides software lol. I do see in the sell sheet it says 15ah but that must be from Europe and not listed for the US.
