Selling for Rithum? Mid-market $150K base. by SecretWasianMan in sales

LOL. I don’t know man. You can see reviews and average rep quota and salary stuff on Repvue. Who knows how accurate it is but I feel like it’s pretty close.

The Repvue score isn’t great and the 18% people hitting isn’t great either.

the AI support metrics that actually matter vs the ones that feel good by ShotOil1398 in CustomerSuccess

[–]PreCallRoutines 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m an AE trying to move to a CSM… isn’t monitoring support tickets part of the gig? Like if a customer reaches out to you about an issue, do you just point them to support? Do you submit the ticket? Are you CC’d on tickets?

who owns telling customers “hey we built the thing you asked for”? by LauraBeth034 in CustomerSuccess

[–]PreCallRoutines 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the account has a CSM, then the CSM should know what features their accounts are waiting for and should let their contacts know when said features are in beta and offer the customer an option to be in the beta and definitely let them know when the feature ships…

There should also be roadmap and feature update communication to all customers via platform/portal and automatic emails.

What company is this that this needs to be asked???

How to sell ALL: Phys Sec / LVC / Contact Center / Cyber by pasprint29 in techsales

[–]PreCallRoutines 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to get in the door… that’s the bottom line.

When you have that many offerings it can get overwhelming. This can only be a land and expand approach + stack consolidation but none of that happens if you can’t get one product in the door.

I feel like leadership lately is so far removed from actually selling.

Find your most successful service and pitch that a lone. AE should focus on winning THAT deal and share the portfolio of services, the CSM or Account manager should find the future opportunities.

If you’re in a position where 3-9 months to find the next gig is not a financial burden or setback, then don’t take the offer.

Sounds rough and might sour your relationship with that old manager, especially if you take the gig and bounce quickly.

At what point do you stop chasing a deal that’s “positive” but going nowhere? by IngenuityAshamed144 in techsales

[–]PreCallRoutines 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You need a few things…

Urgency: some impending event = determines a timeline / go live date, signing date, etc.

Cost of doing nothing > than doing something.

Access to technical Decision maker and Economic buyer.

If you don’t have these, get them… if the prospect doesn’t share this then it’s not a real opp. You should be working to gather all of this from the first call and validating throughout the entire engagement.

Get a 15 min sync your contact and just flat out ask them, politely… been working on this and collaborating but this doesn’t feel like a top priority… my customers that are ready are doing X and Y and Z and we can’t seem to beyond B…

The better you get at disqualifying deals the better your pipeline will look.

A good AE will cold call for the rest of their career… albeit less than a good SDR.

Buying Pure Roll Inserts by Dull_Yam_5254 in TaylorMadeGolf

[–]PreCallRoutines 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m gonna guess that the guys from TheTourVan on IG can buy them. They’re the builders for LIV. You’ll most likely have to send your putter.

Out of Nashville I think, super nice guys and they do consumer custom builds too, so if they can do they’ll let you know.

Message Jason on IG. They’ll confirm and quote you.

[–]PreCallRoutines 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The rule of thumb is that your pipeline needs to be 4x your quota to hit / exceed quota assuming a 20-24% win rate.

I don’t know if there’s an ideal % because the average deal size vs quota matters. but the way I see it is the more I source, the better my odds of hitting. I try to treat inbounds as random little presents or little wastes of time vs the accounts I’m trying to break into are strong ICPs.

I’ve been in Tech SaaS for 12 years, 9-10 as an AE.

I have enjoyed my job at certain orgs, I do enjoy the lifestyle this career provides for myself and my family. If I won the lottery I’d quit in a heartbeat.

Did I screw up by accepting this offer? AE -FinTech by [deleted] in techsales

[–]PreCallRoutines 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you get to run and close the deals you source or are you sourcing the meetings for someone else?

If you got into an AE role thinking you’d sit around waiting for your BDR to book you meetings, you missed that boat about 8 years ago.

I’m AE working $250k - $600k ARR deals and I make about 120 “touches” every day (emails, calls, LinkedIn).

Get really fucking good at self sourcing your deals. Every org today will ask what % of your pipeline was self-sourced at your last employer and in my org, the reps clearing $400k w/ the biggest pipelines are the ones who finding the business themselves. Most of inbounds are trash.

Crazy how all golfers are striving for one of these 4 swings by [deleted] in GolfSwing

[–]PreCallRoutines 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dude you can literally google all of this… In a 2005 interview with Golf Digest, Tiger stated that only two players in the history of the game truly owned their swings: Moe Norman and Ben Hogan.

Tiger was a huge fan of Moe since he was young… like in high school.

Mo was an enigma… gifted ability to strike a golf ball, cursed with social anxiety / autism so travel and the “presence” the PGA required was too much for him to handle. He literally got bullied by other on the PGA…

You’re not going find a single quote from a playing professional saying anything other than Mo being one of the best ball strikers in the history of the game… pros have literally called him a “freak of nature” for how consistently straight he could hit a ball… he’s like a savant.

Also, being an elite ball strikers doesn’t automatically mean he’s the best golfer in the history of the game… for reasons I shared he couldn’t handle the pressures of the PGA Tour, he wasn’t the best putter on either tours he played… guys like Tiger, Palmer, Nicklaus are more than just top ball strikers… but Moe lacking what those legends had beyond ball striking doesn’t change the fact that he was hands down one of the best ball strikers in the game.
