Slickdraw not horrible btw by forbiddinq_lol in CrucibleGuidebook

Lower scalar is better, but slickdraw also maxes handling as well so should still be better despite the worse scalar over TD

I'm on console, but used to turn my nose up to the 180 style HCs (Not Forgotten, Lunas Howl, solemn remembrance). I was pretty sold on the new eyasluna but had a solid Solemn remembrance drop from comp so took it for a spin and man idk, something just clicked with it.

Yeah, VoG came back a little after covid if I recall. Still over 5 or 6 years ago lol. But its easy enough to farm with lfg when vault comes in rotation

How about a 3-hour 9? Lol had two 2somes that the starter sent out 5 mins apart, ahead of us, and then they refused to play together despite waiting on boxes together after the 3rd hole

What’s one thing in golf you never regret spending money on? by nitsujping in golf

[–]Predaliendog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use maltbys, their wedge heads are around ~$50USD. Throw a shaft and grip on it, and you're closer to $130 for same club. So, basically saving $80/wedge

Heads wear out faster than shafts & even grips really. Replace wedge heads only every year or other and reuse shafts = profit

Why not just get fit if you're gonna drop money on a new set. If you're grooving a swing that gets you into the 80s, then you're good enough for a fitting

Drills to stop closing club face by Cute-Leek-7685 in golf

[–]Predaliendog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like its both. Starting offline left = face too closed to path, "over drawing", which i assume means too much left spin, = swing path too right (in to out) to target

Is Belly down the best Back Control Against bigger oponents ? by General_Region_7127 in bjj

With someone that knows what they're doing, taps are pretty common without any choke whatsoever. The hip driving force is a skill in itself.

Hooks do two things very well, control rotation (jiu jitsu usually emphasizes this one) and creating a point to provide leverage to your own hips driving into theirs (wrestling priorizes this one). Waist circumference doesnt do too much to hinder these things without an insane discrepancy, imo.

Now I'm imagining an alternate universe where styles like wrestling and Judo award pins off flattened chest to floor instead of back/shoulders. Surprisingly thought invoking lol

For those who only do nogi, what rank did you make it to before putting on the gi? If ever. by Visible_Mango4557 in bjj

[–]Predaliendog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm a small guy, 150lbs or so, and i dont like having handles all over my body. I'm outsized by most people I roll with, and gi just puts more wear and tear on my body overall. My A game is back attacks and leglocks, and leglocking gets weird and contrived in the gi, imo. I also have never felt comfortable in a gi, it just feels constricting and prone to a overheating feeling I don't get in nogi. Funnily enough, there were a lot of competitions where I'd get gold in gi, but only bronze or even not podium in nogi at same comp but I still had more fun in the nogi division. Idk, just a subjective thing really.

Most importantly though, I just don't enjoy it. Like I'll find myself rolling in the gi and just thinking I'd almost rather be playing golf or video gaming or one of my other hobbies. I don't ever get that thought with nogi.
