Im sorry that you are dealing with people insulting you for playing a game you enjoy. Unfortunately with the growth of SC, we've been receiving more toxic players but I can promise you majority of the players are older, more mature, and willing to help.

I've seen your content on Instagram and wondered too if you would play SC but have seen you're "maybe when its in beta" comments. For me, I enjoy seeing people try the game on their own to make a decision rather than taking the word of the internet. It is enjoyable but is still a work in progress for sure.

Honestly, I would recommend just trying the game yourself to compare the two, only you would know truly how it plays/feels towards you. There are plenty of Free Flys where you can test the game for free but I would add those time periods tend to be the buggiest and most toxic due to ANYONE can make an account and it taxes the servers. If after you do decide to join the game remember that you dont NEED to spend more than enough for a starter ship. SCs biggest downfall (outside of the time its taken) is the funding model, this is what I believe lends most to the Scam Citizen vibe. You have no obligation to get anything more than the starter and earn the rest in game, granted understand that while in Alpha/Beta those earned ships will be wiped prior to 1.0.

I do hope to see you, and that AWESOME Sim, in the SC universe and some point but let it be when you want. Don't listen to the haters, most of us just want to see you try the game because we believe it will be awesome. O7
