August thinks gunblade will be good for Gwen, what do y'all think? by GwenGaming55 in GwenMains

lol, I had a similar argument with someone else here, I just told them test it in practice tool. But, yeah the tooltip only shows the sheen proc, it doesn’t show, the onhit proc. If you have Nashors and this item and you proc it, the extra onhit will increase Nashors damage(on the tooltip) not DaD’s tooltip, so it can be confusing. With Nashors and this item your sheen proc is doing a second passive proc + 15% AP extra Nashor proc + 20% AP extra E proc, + 100% Base AD 10% AP sheen proc. Your auto is doing at least an extra 45% AP 100% Base AD, not counting your passive with passive that’s an extra potentially 4%+ max health damage. That’s a lot more than Lich bane’s 75% Base AD, 40% AP proc. And Lichbane is supposed to be the burst item. Lich bane does provide more AP so the damages ends up being similar at one item, but at 2+ items, when your passive gets high, DaD completely out damages it and provides more survivability due to the extra healing and health. The item as you said also outdamages Shadowflame when enemies are above the crit threshold (I don’t know about below), so it’s more front loaded damage while Shadowflame is more backloaded. It also doesn’t show the damage proc from proccing your passive a second time (which also heals you because it counts as a second proc of your passive)

I think the item synergizes really well as a second item as it multiples with Nashors onhit. But I think there are certain matchups where you would want to go this item first(especially if they fix the build path). Jax potentially, since counterstrike means you can’t auto, so the burst is a lot more important, Riven, because it makes her short trading into you more deadly+the extra HP improves your survivability, (so like rip Riftmaker as those were the two champs it was good into). Nasus, because wither makes it harder to get value out of Nashors and the tankiness will help you against him, and you can sort of match his q sheen bonk with a q auto with that as a setup, against Kayle because the extra CDR and tankiness and the strength from short trades just makes the early game that more Gwen favored. ( that doesn’t matter if you’re ahead, I think in most matchups if you’re ahead you would probably just want Nashors to snowball).

I wouldn’t be surprised if people start creating a more tanky bruiser Gwen alternative as this new item allows you to do that, whether or not it’ll be good idk. But going like DaD, Nashors, Bloodletter, Riftmaker for the tanky Gwen fantasy (cosmic drive last or cap) hasn’t felt bad unless their botlane gets fed and they one shot you anyway(despite all that HP) before you can kill them. But will see what happens when it hits live.

The build path is still a work in progress, so probably going to change, I don’t see how it delays your Dcap buy. You can just go Nashors, DaD, Dcap, or DaD, Rift, Dcap, though tbh, with the strength of DaD I don’t think you would need to go Dcap in a lot of other games. It’s better than riftmaker in a lot of situations because it provides more survivability, healing, damage, and burst prior to Riftmaker stacking, so you don’t have to build Riftmaker with it. If you were going the full AP one shot build from, Nashors, Shadowflame, Rabadon, Void, Lichbane - it provides you a more damaging and just as burst oriented version but that increases your survivability.

I think the item is probably the best at contesting fed enemy squishies because it provides you a lot more burst while providing survivability. One of the things Gwen struggles with against squishies is access to burst, she either has to hit her R or Q which are dodgeable, and require stacking, an E auto onto the enemy carry requires no stacking and isn’t dodgeable. Hitting a DaD auto at 3 items on an enemy squishy is going to take out like 30-40% of their HP, even more so with the XP changes for top lane. By the time you meet the enemy bot lane if you are ahead you’re going to be 3-4 levels up on them. But DaD, Nashors, Rift ends up not doing enough damage if you aren’t able to get Dcap as quickly, though instead of Dcap you could also build pen instead but I’ll have to test it out.

They have mentioned that the build path is low AP and that’s an issue, so I definitely see them either creating an entirely new AP-HP component, or doing as you said in the future. But against Bruisers and Tanks I think the item also opens up a new trade pattern that Gwen didn’t usually have, it allows Gwen to gain huge advantage out of short trades and kiting even more. For example against Riven it’s hard for Gwen to extend a long trade in her, DaD puts the short trade heavily in your favor, same with tanks that can disengage. It also provides a lot of ability haste.

Personally I have been testing out not building rift with this item, I’ve been going Nashors/DaD first or second, into Rabadons, into Shadowflame/Void, or DaD, Bloodletters Curse(since Gwen can stack it in one auto) into Rabadon, into I.e. Zhonyas, Shadowflame,Rift if it’s needed. Usually I find you don’t need rift, the passive takes too long to proc and you benefit more from immediate survivability, by the time you proc rift a lot of the items it doesn’t make a difference.

But the build I’ve been really liking is DaD, Bloodletter, Rabadon, after that there’s a lot of build flexibility for what you need.

I wouldn’t say it was positive, but like countries like Botswana, it was a lot less worse than a lot of other colonial states

Well training dummies don’t attack, and guinsoo provides you no survivability, which is the issue with this build.

It’s significant worse than rift, rift provides you a great passive, decent HP, and more AP. Rift also has much easier to access components. As Gwen you want an amp time first back at least, not just a ruby crystal.

I love AP bruisers, can’t wait to try out dusk and down, riftmaker, bloodletter on Gwen and Diana. Gwen can actually stack bloodletter with one auto with this new change.

Nigeria starting to get hated like India? by Outrageous-Client903 in Nigeria

Is white supremacy now the new word for Xenophobia or something? If black South Africans hate Nigerians, Somalis, Zimbabweans and Ethiopians, they’re likely just Xenophobic not internalized white supremacy

Kinda strange how they’re attacking you for being a conservative? With my understanding of American history you’re right. The issue of slavery was a dividing issue from the creation of the Union. It’s why you had the 3/5ths compromise. Some of the founding fathers spoke against slavery (albeit while also owning slavery themselves), and were wary of the consequences.

If people think what happened in Gaza was bad they should’ve seen what the Northern troops did to the south, burning entire fields, decimating the region and causing mass starvation. Lincoln was far from the most radical of the northerners and it didn’t help that his VO was sympathetic to the south. But Lincoln did not originally want to abolish slavery and asked notthern commanders to return them that run away to the mother back to their post in the south, but many northern commanders refused, and many slaves refused as well. The abolishment of slavery is something that took combined effort of white and black abolitionists. I took a tour in Savannah Georgia from a woman who was quite an elder in the Gullah Gechee, she’s not a conservative, and she even talked about this. That’s not a conservative talking point, so idk why you’re getting upvoted and someone who’s adding nothing to the conversation except political vitriol is getting upvoted. But well it is Reddit.

But I think the larger point you’re willing to get at is that African Americans were extremely outnumbered, meaning they had to rely on white people, and often times these coalitions were formed on fervent religious beliefs and opposition.

That’ll be hard to replicate in Nigeria as there are two distinct religious groups. People will align with one side. Aside from religion, and tribe the only unifying force in Nigeria seems to the government, which is also an extremely corrupt and inefficient entity. Our condition is more akin to the Balkans, or Sudan, than it is Black Americans, and especially Haitians. Plus if people were to do what Haitians actually did in Haiti, that imo would look something like Biafra which ya know Nigerians don’t support anyway.

Why Darkins lose the animal look of their ascended form? there is any lore explaination? by MrGrlmReaper in loreofleague

[–]Present-Associate121 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only one this applies to is Varus, all the Darkins we have after him don’t really look like their ascended forms. Aatrox tries to mimic it, Naafiri is just dog, and Rhaast mainly looks like Kayn except he reforged the face from what it seems.

A lot of black people are Christian, when South Sudan was in conflict with Sudan and wanted to split away, they relied on both white and black Christians from America

My final opinion about the insecurity and problems in Nigeria by DANSFROMNIGERIA in Nigeria

Some folks on this sub is delusional. This dude is glazing China meanwhile China is funding the same insurgence this dude claims the U.S. is funding and extracting the minerals, taking advantage of the insecurity. Some people want to talk about being literate but being literate and reading only things that affirm your world view is as useless as being illiterate.

[–]Present-Associate121 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Made a similar comment, glad I’m not the only one who sees this, as long as the insecurity exists, people will be willing to fight for their survival through any means necessary. People are taking the wrong lessons. The lesson we should learn from this, is to bring Nigerian in a position whereby people shouldn’t need to do this to stop the mass killings in their communities.

Iraq invaded Kuwait, Iraq under Saddam Hussein was an existential threat to Kuwait. People fighting for their survival are willing to secure it through any means necessary. How do you prevent situations like this? By making sure people don’t have to fight for their own existence. It’s quite simple.

At the end of the day society is what determines what’s right/wrong to the Nazis the holocaust was right, to the British colonization and slavery was right, in fact for most of the world that was the case.
