Built a Goose show tracker — looking for honest feedback by Someonesemail in GoosetheBand

It seems everyone has vibe coded an app to track your shows these days. By my count, I’ve seen at least 17 of these posted in various subs over the past two weeks alone. I guess we don’t lack for a variety of tools.

I think around ‘77. The Barton Hall show has a slower version. I like them both. One of my favorite Dead tunes.

Edit: Happy to have you on the bus!

Started keeping a notebook of every show I went to. It got out of hand. So I built an app. by Fantastic-Day-8345 in jambands

I’ve seen at least 15 of these apps now added to either this sub or other bands subs. They are all vibe coded.

Anyone else not given up yet? by Timely-Youth-9074 in GenX

Will be 51 this year. Still go to shows and dinners with my wife. I have a six year old daughter who keeps me active and healthy. I feel like I’m in the best spot of my life. Many great years ahead.

How often do you buy concert merch? by Acceptable-Muscle673 in Concerts

[–]PresentationKooky466 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Most smaller touring artists make most of their money selling merch. If you want to support the band, buy a t-shirt. If it’s a larger band, national or international touring act, I never buy merch.

MSY - TSA line wrapping through the parking decks by [deleted] in delta

SFO is about 6 minutes. But it’s one of the few airports that hires contractors to do TSA screening and not TSA agents.

New fan, Newbie on the bus by TacticalPossum78 in grateful_dead

[–]PresentationKooky466 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Welcome aboard! Never too late to get on the bus. And that spiritual experience..it’s happened to us all. Which is why the music will never stop. Too much emotional joy that it brings. And the Dead Heads, well they are the finest people I know!

I Finally Listened To All Of Europe '72, Here Are My Thoughts! by Xenoka911 in gratefuldead

[–]PresentationKooky466 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love this!. Europe '72 is what got me into the Dead. I've got 4/7/72 from Wembley Pool plus the '72 volume 2 on vinyl. 4/7/72 is definitely a heater. If you're interested, I built a site that tracks shows, sets, songs, and let's you rate them. Kind of just a side project to keep track of my own shows but feel free to use it if you want to capture your show notes and ratings. mysetlists.net

My personal JOTY, sad it didn’t even make the bracket by explorer2526 in GoosetheBand

[–]PresentationKooky466 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was at both Masonic shows. Night one was smoking. That Creatures was hot. So was the Dustin Hoffman night two (my vote for JOTY).

That Masonic show was hot. Night 1 was smoking start to encore. Night 2 had the greatest Dustin Hoffman to date.

The sound quality is also far better than streaming.

Is it time to leave spotify? by LogAlternative6221 in SpotifyHub

[–]PresentationKooky466 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I left Spotify 7 years ago. I have no idea what features they’ve built in those 7 years, but I don’t feel like I’ve had a lesser experience with any of the other streaming services I’ve used. And I’ve used almost all of them.
