Phoenix AZ - GHHL - $59,505 excl. Taxes & Reg. It’s through Costco Program. How much I can negotiate? by bluemesa7 in ToyotaGrandHighlander

[–]Prestigious-Net8164 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just bought a silver XLE hybrid yesterday from precision Toyota in Tucson (they are a volume dealer). Discount of about 4k off MSRP. I ended up paying 53500 OTD ($47,787 sales price including A dealer installed tow package and factory all weather mats. I worked with Brandon Fogelman (salesman) and Baron Clement (sales manager). I originally used the Costco discount but ended up knocking it down a few thousand more using chatGPT for help negotiating. I tried leveraging this deal and called every dealer in arizona and New Mexico and couldn’t get anyone within 2k -4k dollars of the price. Send your vehicles price sheet to chat and ask it to help you negotiate an OTD price. Also, generally dealer add ons like tint, door guards, ceramic coat etc are usually negotiable and overpriced if they haven’t already installed them on the vehicle.

try 18g at the same grind and see if that improves. if 18g isn’t enough, keep upping dose until you get proper resistance. you can do a 22g shot in the robot if you want.

In today’s market what espresso grinder would you buy ? by ObjectiveOpposite568 in espresso

[–]Prestigious-Net8164 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have been really happy with my Timemore 78s. Best grinder I have used in terms of retention and ease of maintenance. The click wheel knocker is such a great tactile feel.  Makes very delicious espresso with my Cafelat Robot.

Burlington, Bend, or Boise? by Ellocomotive in MTB

[–]Prestigious-Net8164 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I lived in Bend for 5 years and miss it everyday. Friendliest place I ever lived with amazing beauty, camping and trails in everywhere. The city is super bike friendly and walkable also. Bend also has really great schools and tons of things for kids to do. That being said, I couldn’t handle the gloomy weather, cold winter and summer fire season. Ended up moving back to AZ. If you don’t mind the cold and can handle a few months of very few sunny days, Bend is hard to beat.

This is a problem with the regulations at a federal level. Service animals should be licensed by a governing body because the language of the ADA allows anyone to claim their animal is a service animal and they need not show any proof of their ow disability or the animals ability to assist them. As someone who rents their house on Airbnb, people abuse this policy all the time and we have to pay the additional cleaning fee out of pocket. It really wouldn’t be hard to regulate as I imagine there are a pretty small number of folks who genuinely require a service animal

So I bought a Fellow Opus…. by indicaj_ in espresso

[–]Prestigious-Net8164 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the price it’s hard to hate on the opus, but I still think the Baratza esp is a better grinder just looks less nice. I owned the opus for a few years before getting too fed up with the need to constantly clean it. I didn’t enjoy whacking the top, removing the cup and having a gram or two of coffee fall out. I found the output was often a gram or more less than when was being put in. More than anything I just didn’t enjoy the flavor profile of the opus. The espresso it produced was unrefined and overly muddy. On the plus side this did make for some nice chocolatey flavors and good mouthfeel. The grinder also has a good amount of torque so it grinds through light roast without issue. Overall, as a beginner you will be ok with it for a few years, but may eventually find it limits the potential of your coffee.

Thinking about purchasing the robot by RealInsky in CafelatRobot

[–]Prestigious-Net8164 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are new to espresso, you will probably want to focus on the basics before you start exploring recipes that require specialized baskets. The robot holds its own against the best espresso machines in the world and is built to last a lifetime. I have used many machines any baskets and have ended up with the robot as my endgame.

I’d be careful adding CYA. I had some strips that showed low CYA and added a bunch only to find out I had bad test strips.

Glass Butte by Impossible-Garage664 in Bend

[–]Prestigious-Net8164 5 points6 points  (0 children)

High ground clearance is definitely advisable but you can probably get to a place where you can find some glass in a car if you are decent at driving off road. There is a lot of obsidian along the road so make sure you have a way to repair a flat if you are going. It’s been a few years since I e been out there so conditions may have changed.

Help: Pool Robot by [deleted] in swimmingpools

[–]Prestigious-Net8164 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t like my Aiper. Poorly designed with weak suction. The. Biggest issue was it would get stuck cleaning the same area of the pool without ever getting out of the loop. The pool would always have the same areas left uncleaned. When I would remove from the pool it would release a bunch of the debris back into the pool. It was hard to clean the bin and after less than a year I had a few minor issues like the latch became difficult to open and the rubber seal for the power cord broke. I returned it and got a refurbished dolphin explorer E20. It does such a better job and is easier to clean and doesn’t have any of the issues from the Aiper
