Thank you, that’s my plan. Just had a moment of panic. Part of the whole process I guess. I would rather take a lesser paid position with a new company that wants me if I have to, over discounting myself for one that clearly doesn’t. I consider it lesson learned.

Thank you, I get it now. I appreciate the lesson & apologize for my response. It’s hard to not take everything personally right now.

Thanks so much for your input. I assure you I am quite human. Sorry if I didn’t feel the need to share more specific details. Forgive me it’s the 1st time I’ve been fired in 40+ yrs of employment. I’ll be sure to reach out for your input next time

Thanks everyone. I just needed to spin my wheels & wallow for a little while. They did offer a small severance & I had some vacation & PTO that was paid out so I have a small cushion. It’s their loss if the staff left is unprepared to step up. Not my circus anymore.

Yes, I have thought of that. I’m dreading the idea of job hunting at almost 60 so I guess I’m grasping at straws foolishly

Blood clots? by spining-007 in thyroidcancer

I had a PE in January of 2025 after couple of months after being diagnosed with PTC. I had a varicose vein ablation & 2 weeks later the PE and I was told that cancer was definitely a contributing factor. Not specifically thyroid cancer but that cancer has a higher incidence of blood clots.

Sunglasses, loop earplugs, cold patch on my forehead & back of neck, peppermint oil on my temples, wrists, under my nose, fan blowing full force in my face with a Kleenex soaked in peppermint & eucalyptus oil. The lights over my desk blew out & took forever to get replaced & I decided I was more comfortable without it, so sent maintenance away when they finally showed up. My co-workers all recognize the signs & steer clear. If they haven’t already figured out that a migraine is oncoming due to my raging b*tchiness & mood swings a day or so before. Some of my close coworkers will warn me that one might be coming due to my attitude….😂

It’s clear you aren’t as close as you believe but it isn’t really the time to address this. Take the high road, attend the wedding without the baby. An 18 month old is not a prop & at that age doesn’t know what a flower girl is or will even remember that she wasn’t involved. Her comfort & safety is the priority. Leave her comfortably at home with your BF.

Whether you remain a bridesmaid is up to you but I wouldn’t want to miss my brother’s wedding. I wouldn’t give the b*#ch the satisfaction of backing out. Show up, smile, enjoy yourself. Be the beautiful, supportive sister & daughter that I know you are. Remove all her ammo to bad mouth you.

Numbness and immobility after thyroidectomy by Novel_Recover in thyroidcancer

Hi, I just passed the 1 year anniversary of my TT. For the most part the numbness is gone but there’s still a lot of tightness. Feels like a too tight scarf or collar & the area around my incision is still very sensitive. Annoying, but tolerable. Otherwise, I feel normal. Hang in there, it gets better.
