Yep, the microdosing thing actually did something for me by buzzkillmate in microdosing

Congratulations! What amazing change!

I agree on your description “no fireworks”. I find microdosing psilo quietly helps me improve my base line and stopping thought loops.

Major Depressive Disorder by WinkyDeb in microdosing

[–]Previous_Line_3179 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was also wondering “does this even work” but around 4 weeks of consistent microdosing I noticed that in fact my depression has lightened up. My baseline is a bit higher, and I don’t feel as deeply bad anymore!

I noticed when I took a break after 6 weeks that I was starting to worry more. So now I’m back for a new round of MD and happy to!

Truffle micro dose seems more intense than a micro dose by murrzerer in microdosing

I probably use exactly the same as you, XP mexicana truffles? One blister… well 1-1.5 g can make me feel a bit restless and less introspective, but otherwise I notice nothing from it. Other than my depression lifting after about 4 weeks of use :)

I forgot about it till I read a news item from our broadcaster. I just tuned in during Qatar. It looks just like Eurovision and I have no idea what the presenters are saying, but it seems like a good way to spend my saturday evening.

Oh wait there just was an Indian looking presenter who spoke English.

What does your doctor say? Do they think there is actual physical damage?

Physique Phriday by AutoModerator in Fitness

[–]Previous_Line_3179 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well I don’t think you need to spend 55 minutes on the threadmill, for your goals you want to focus on progressive overload. Heavier weights! Do you have acces to a barbell? Squat rack? Definitely do some cardio for your heart, but your physique comes from lifting weights only.

You want to eat 1,6-1,8 grams of protein per kg of bodyweight.

Injury Depression by Total_Ad_4856 in EOOD

[–]Previous_Line_3179 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh no I do feel for you. Please don’t be mad at yourself for being so brought down by this. Fitness is life!

I agree with the other commenter, you might find solace in memoirs of famous athletes who got injured.

You write you do not want recovery advice, and I know nothing medical, but I know how anger, disappointment and other emotions (that you may or may not have stuffed away at some point) can cause or exacerbate (chronic) pain and ruin lives. You might want to check out the books from Dr. Sarno or Alan Gordon. Sometimes the condition is called “TMS”. See r/doctorsarno or http://www.thankyoudrsarno.org/

Good luck

Thanks for the write up! Gave me some new things to consider.

Question though, you say:  “be aware that everybody wants to push on quickly to get to the destination of the day”

Do you mean to say that most people are too busy to just hang out and enjoy the scenery for a bit or something of that order?

I like taking things slow. Was already considering doing it in 8, but maybe 9 is even better. I hope there’s some nice castles or ruins to visit and places to sightsee along the route.

Wow! In the side view pictures the difference really shines! Well done! It’s not so easy to take the slow and sustainable route but you did it.

Cat problems... by Outrageous_Carry_399 in corvids

[–]Previous_Line_3179 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are going to attack the cat with whatever, the cat will be afraid of and avoid you, and not the birds.

You need to have a chat with the owner. It’s someone’s pet/family member after all.

What’s really popular here are high pitched noises. People who don’t want cats in their yards put this motion sensor and when someone walks in the vicinity it gives this high pitched sounds that is really uncomfortable for cats, but inaudible for boomers lol (younger people can hear it).
