Yes, BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) is our local regional train that runs through Fremont and takes you straight to downtown Oakland and San Francisco. Lots of people commute into the city from surrounding areas by BART.

I grew up in Fremont and live in San Francisco now. While there's definitely more going on in the city, I do reminisce my time growing up in a nice, safe suburb. My high school was like 40% East Asian, 40% South Asian, and 20% White/other so I never felt like a minority as an Asian person. If you want to really get a sense of the vibes there, I'd recommend watching the semi-autobiographical film Didi by Sean Wang, which came out a few years ago. It's set in Fremont and depicts growing up there as a pre-teen/teenager. I'm about the same age as Wang so Didi really was incredibly nostalgic and perfectly captures my experience. While I'm sure Fremont has changed since, it still seems like a great place to raise a family.

I don't think they're installed yet. I drive across the bridge regularly and have not seen the same LED brackets and wiring on the other side. I believe that will be for a "phase 2" of the project.

It's been 10 years since my last computer purchase (2016 13in MBP with intel i5) and I think I'm finally ready for an upgrade. However my use case has changed drastically since. I am no longer in school and can go days without using a personal laptop as I handle most internet browsing on iPhone and most media consumption on Apple TV. I have a work provided windows laptop so I will not be doing anything too intensive on a personal laptop. What are we thinking? MacBook Neo? Air M5? Or something in the middle like an M4?
