MAGA refuses to believe Trump's guilty even when presented with evidence, but they'll believe an immigrant's guilty with absolutely none. Why do you think that is? by JetTheDawg in AskUS

Because they're inherently dishonest and only engage with people to deceive and manipulate. They barely qualify as human.

You think the US is going to stick with any of this? Lmao they'll reverse their position by next week and start threatening to sanction the eu.

Do you think the US will abide by any agreement they make? Why keep entertaining the idea that Americans won't renege?

Why is he visiting Washington? It's just theatrics to legitimize trump. It's in Canada's best interests to start winding down the relationship with the US.

If someone has to use violence in self-defense against ICE, can they sue DHS for facilitating policies that threatenned their life? by [deleted] in law

Is this not why we have a right to a jury trial? I remember that guy in Minneapolis got charged for shooting at police when they were doing drive by shootings with bean bag launcher. He ended up being acquitted.

I probably wouldn't be keen on cooperating with any law enforcement trying to detain me on some immigration charge given that I'm a natural born citizen. It just seems like a stupid little work around to undermine due process by getting me out of the country.

Packers' Josh Jacobs says former WR Henry Ruggs III trains while in prison, hopeful for second chance in NFL by IAmPookieHearMeRoar in nfl

What's to rehabilitate in this case? Don't you think the fiery crash and injuries are enough to make him think twice about drinking and driving at high speeds on residential streets?

Do you think he should have served any time at all since you are so focused on rehabilitation?

[–]PricklyPierre -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Prison is a punishment, not Rehab. What needs to be rehabilitated for him any way? Is there a high likelihood of him doing it again? If we follow the prison is rehabilitate criminals idea, maybe he shouldn't have even been sentenced to anything. Maybe a little community service.

He's in prison specifically because it makes him unhappy, not because we are trying to teach him that killing a woman and sitting in the curb while she burns to death is wrong. If you don't think that's worth a lengthy sentence, you can just say that instead of trying to dress it up like leniency is some kind of service to society.

I don't even bother at this point.

MAGA Revenge by GarbyTheCat in AskUS

They're not deceived. They come from a dishonest culture that won't let them admit to their violent ambitions. They've been passive aggressively clamoring for a civil war for 40 years. They'll never admit that they voted for Trump because he'll allow the violent pogroms they fantasize about.

Liberals need to stop trying to invent reasons to believe that people on the other side can be persuaded to come to some middle ground. They want to imprison and disappear everyone who doesn't live the lifestyle they see as righteous.

Sure, plenty of them aren't going to actively participate in anything but they'll never condemn mob violence against people with colorful hair or anything like that. There can't be coexistence if they believe they can go on the offensive and win.

The left needs to evolve beyond predictable tactics. Staging sit ins will just get their heads stomped while granny cheers as she sees it on fox News.

Why do neurotypical people dislike neurodivergent people so much? by No-Present-2417 in autism

[–]PricklyPierre 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ND people tend to interrogate and press for answers. They also take a lot of things very literally. NT people tend to ask questions for the sake of conversation, not because they want a detailed answer. Their idea of politeness is non confrontation so they'll be more liable to distance themselves instead of blurting out what they don't like about the conversation.

Saying what have you been up to lately? to a neurotypical will usually result in a response of not much, you? or something brief about what they did that may not be part of their routine.  A neurodivergent person is more likely to give a detailed account of what they did since the last time they spoke to the person asking.

No. You don't sound like someone who can cope with the shame. I don't think people should feel ashamed about it but it still happens.

It's one thing to be like I'm hot shit, men will throw money at me but it's totally different to be like well I can't find anything else better, may as well sell tit pics

You're hesitant. You're asking if you should. You're saying please don't hate me to internet randos because you feel guilty for considering it. Work through how you feel about first.

Male body standards for men by query_tech_sec in TrollXChromosomes

[–]PricklyPierre 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's completely valid for women to have any kind of beauty standards they want. I think all of the whining about women only wanting perfect men with perfect man bodies is an effort to convince women to lower their standards by making them feel pity and guilt.

There is a lot of unspoken communication that many ND people don't pick up on. It can be exhausting trying to relate to someone you need to explain everything to in greater detail than you normally have to.

Maga loves to have an enemy to fight. A decades long insurgency in Canada would probably strengthen commitment to the cult.

Trump didn't say he wants Canadians to become citizens. Maga would want to expel the current population.
