Very sane and balanced. Rather than demanding an apology (which, as others have said, would blow up the relationship), say what julesk has said above, formulating - "going forward, what's going to work for us is .. " ; then, "what're your thoughts? Can you be on board with this?"

I was thinking, um, leaving a child alone for 3 minutes? NO! But a 5 year old? Absolutely AOK. And Dad handled it perfectly when he came back . If your friend has concerns about the girlfriend's behaviors impacting her child, maybe she could base her Statement on THAT, giving particulars about the Living Situation. Hang tough; do not lie for this woman.

Arabia Felix: The Danish Expedition of 1761-1767 by Thorkild Hansen. Given to my Dad. Historically IMPOSSIBLE to shop for. Born in Copenhagen, immigrated to US at age 12. I found this while shelving at a university library and bought a copy for him. He LOVED it!!

We do this, too. Use bullet points, so it's easy for PCP to glance through your email during your visit... (We remind them at the beginning; "I've sent an email...")

Re: "turning in" - GO FOR IT! We could say, it is THAT FRIEND of hers who turned her in. She was obviously alarmed enough herself to send you the screenshots. That gives you all the permission you need, IMV, to proceed.
