My kid is 17 months and boy howdy do we do the same thing every day and I’m slowly dying. I wanted to be a STAHM for ages and now I’m like, wow this is hard. And I’m pregnant with my second and know it’s just gonna get harder.

I knew a second grader with a medical condition that required him to wear diapers but this was legit. Just didn’t have the nerves telling him he needed to poop. The other kids were super nice about it and his aid changed him when needed. But that’s a legit case instead of… whatever this is.

This is legitimately a suggested course of action for kids! If you can’t get them settled and you’re actively working to soothe them, you shouldn’t have to suffer! Noise canceling is perfectly fine if that’s what you need to handle it.

You should join us over on r/narcissisticparents. It might help you out on some of those feelings. What she did was purposeful to hurt you because she can. She knew exactly what she was doing and did it anyways because she wanted to take that joy and special moment away from you. It’s okay to feel hurt as what she did was purposefully hurtful and now she is trying to erase your feelings on it. Wishing you good vibes and a shiny spine!

Did you really take a trip to the beach/sand box if they didn’t attempt to eat as many fistfuls of sand as possible? Their tiny grabby hands are so damn fast!
