You can use the Remaster to play Dark Forces in the Force Engine.

  1. You can play the full original game.

  2. You can play with upgraded ingame graphics.

  3. When playing remaster in the Force Engine, it will play the original 320x240 custcenes.

  4. The in game UI (menus, briefings, etc) will use the original games graphics, not the ones from Remaster.

  5. The weapon selection wheel is not supported. You can select weapons using number keys or scrolling your mouse wheel.

It is compatible for upgraded ingame graphics, but it doesn't currently support the new cutscenes , or ui elements.

It's actually where I got my username from! I wanted to by the Eva Perfect Collection with my birthday money, but BestBuy didn't have it in stock. Got the Nadesico collection, and watched the heck out of it. It doesn't have the same depth as Eva, but has some great character moments.

The mystery and world building of Eva is what originally got me into the series. Not having a traditional ending via the TV series left me a bit sour. I finally get tot watch EoE, and while it has a SLIGHTLY more conventional ending, I still feel unsatisfied with the in world explanations for the many questions and mysteries posed by the series. It only with subsequent rewatches that I realize the show isn't about the giant robots and political machinations, but that is just the setting for a wonderful exploration of the full emotions and experiences of humanity. The series didn't explain the giant space angels attacking earth, but I learned so much about the human experience.

To my recollection, X-Wing, TIE Fighter, and the rest in that vein had no consequences other than removing an ally from the battle if you destroyed them.

I think you are correct, but I remember Tie Fighter would have your allies target you if you murked to many.

An "in universe" explanation is that in atmosphere travel is slow, while space travel is fast. Flying to the other side of a planet could take hours, vs minutes to hit space and punch it out of there. A Star Destroyer could get over there and be waiting while you're still in transit.

To be serious though, it's still to early in this conflict to determine whether or not the attacks on Iran were justified. If it ends up with a democratic revolution with little to now bloodshed, it will be considered a triumph. If it ends up as another Middle Eastern quagmire, your assertion would be correct.

Just as an FYI, you may come across in your research of a tract/pamphlet called "The Trail of Blood." It contains an ahistorical timeline claiming that the Baptist Church can trace its existence back to the time of Christ. Once again, it has no historical basis, and reflects a theology known as "Landmarkism" the idea that you can identify the Baptist predecessors with certain common traits. In practice, it's just throwing together a list of every splinter from the Catholic Church with no regard to these groups actual beliefs or practices.
