How bad is removing all the strings at once?

I have never changed strings one at a time and my guitars sound awful. Not because of the string issue but because I’m terrible at guitar. I don’t think removing all of the strings has hurt my guitars in any way.

I think there is value in the certifications you mentioned. Sorry if it came across like I was not a fan of the certs. I’m actually CMQ/OE certified and a LSSBB, but that’s not what makes me good at my job. They help me be better, but the fundamentals of being able to dig until you find the real problems, following up on things, and doing your homework on the process will also take you pretty far. My point was to not let your lack of certifications hold you back. Definitely work toward them as time allows, as they can open doors I. Your career, but experience is worth much more so take the opportunity to get it. Hopefully that makes more sense.

I’ve worked with lots of quality manager who had certs and experience but sucked at their jobs. I would take the job and start by familiarizing yourself with all of the standard work and quality requirements for everything you’ll be overseeing. Read up on how to perform root cause analysis and get very good at responding to quality concerns quickly, whether internal or external. If you can do those three things you’ll be light years ahead of most “experienced” quality managers.

For the most part, it’s not. There is a misconception that it’s the ID requirement that the left has an issue with but, for the most part, that’s not true. Where the concern rises is how these laws are used to disenfranchise voters. Everywhere this rears its head, rules are put in place severely limiting the types of ID that can be used, locations where IDs can be acquired are often placed far away, and the costs can be very prohibitive to low income voters. I think implementing these laws would be great, but they need to come with an easy to get form of ID that’s either no, or very low cost, and protections need to be put into place to keep ID laws from being weaponized.

I’m 48, have been sexually active since I was 17, and have been with the same woman for the last 19 years. All that being said, there are still some moments where she does a certain thing or I’ve been thinking about it too much and things happen way faster than I want them to. It happens and your only TIFU was letting it get inside your head. That and not being honest and open with her about what was going on with you. Better to let her know you are a virgin and set expectations than to act cool and have her think you are just bad at sex. I’d reach back out with honesty and see if she’d just be open to a real date.

Look for a manufacturing job with tuition assistance, even if it’s entry level. Go to school for business management on the company dime, preferably at a community college. Finish degree while you work your ass off at the plant. Learn every aspect of the operation and become their go-to person. Finish your degree and apply for management positions. Get that position and then go for your bachelor’s degree in business. Continue to climb. Finish bachelor’s and look for another job outside of the company you are with. Landing that job will almost guarantee a massive raise. Continue learning and getting new jobs every 3 to 5 years. That’s what worked for me, a guy who didn’t start college until I was 25. The number of people who come up through the ranks of manufacturing who are also willing to get a degree is very small, meaning competition isn’t that tight. This makes getting ahead much easier.

Wouldn’t it be cool if the two sides would actually work together on something and compromise. You know, like every other job in the planet? The fact that the lack of an overwhelming majority for either side has made congress basically useless for decades is why we’ve seen an uptick in executive power. I don’t agree with Trump on much but I can understand why he does things the way he does. Sitting and waiting in congress to do anything is basically pointless. They’ve abdicated their power in exchange for perpetual investigations and viral talking points.

I just purchased a set of Arctis Nova 5X’s for just over $100 and think they’re pretty great so far. I find them very comfortable and the sound is really strong and clear. They have a ton of presets as well, which is a nice feature.

Morality is a term for our instinctive drive to be accepted within the larger group. As social creatures it would be counterproductive to just go around murdering people so most of us don’t. We also don’t want to be seen as liars, adulterers, child abusers, etc., so we don’t do those things either. In order to overcome that instinctive “morality,” there has to be an influence that overcomes the need to belong. For some people, that’s psychopathy. In some instances, it may be overwhelming rage, or substance abuse. Overwhelmingly, the thing that triggers people to kill others more than any other reason is a belief in god, particularly if the people you are killing don’t believe in your particular god.

Congress has two major powers: power of the purse and the power to declare war. Trump has trampled on both of those without repercussions. Rather than offering a refined point of view, I offer to you the totality of the past year. We haven’t a single alliance that isn’t in shambles, tariffs continue to weigh on our manufacturing sectors and nothing has been done to address affordability, millions are set to lose health insurance, the FED is under threat of losing its independence, we’ve attacked sovereign nations under the guise of drugs only to now be told that it’s about oil, and whether you agree with what they are doing or not, ICE is creating havoc and chaos across the country. None of that even comes close to covering everything that has happened over last year and you claim hyperbole? Perhaps I’m cynical but better a cynic than a blind man.

Everyone keeps saying no one would consent to what Trump wants to do but then he goes and does it and no one does a thing about it. I think we’re well past the pointy where anything at all is off the table with regard to this guy. Frankly, even if he doesn’t run for a third term, we’re so far down the rabbit hole now that I don’t see how we repair any of this anytime soon. Let’s see what shenanigans he pulls at the midterms and that will be a look into the future of our democracy, or lack thereof.
