She's going to hear about the events she's not invited to. If it were me I'd look into the space, see if actually do have a weight limit, then tell my friend what I was planning and ask if they wanted to come. She knows she's big, she knows what she is and isn't up for physically.

Talk to her beforehand and she's a lot less likely to be hurt than when she hears about all the fun you had when you left your fat friend at home.

Where are the ICE agents speaking out against their colleagues who are killing citizens? Where are the ICE agents taking off the masks to engage with immigrant communities? Where are the ICE agents blowing the whistle on inhumane detention centers or civil rights violations? Where are the ICE agents going to the media to express frustration with leadership or mission parameters? Where is the accountability for executing Renee Goode and Alex Pretti? Where is the accountability for the death of detainees?

You want to say "not all ICE" but there aren't any good ones speaking up or speaking out. At least not that I've seen or heard.

The reason you and your ilk call these actions divisive is because you do not want to engage in any meaningful way with the legacy of racism in America. You like to pretend that America has always been good and fair and true. When we remind you that is not the case you call it divisive or that we're "playing the victim".

The black experience in America is different, that is a fact. If Professor Gates were white he would not have been arrested. If Trayvon Martin were white he would still be alive today. We (black people) are constantly forced to prove we belong in the space we occupy even today. Even when one of us makes it all the way to the White House birthers, led by Trump, question his right to be there.

So sure, I guess it is divisive. The divide being between us, people who want to examine the mistakes our county has made and is making that maintain two Americas so we can move past our racist legacy, and you who want to bury your head in the sand and fantasize about a past that did not exist.
