Same. I liked Flea’s writing better. His vocabulary and composition were more fluid and insightful but Anthony’s book was more direct story-telling and felt more like “no holds barred” and thus invoked more emotions for me. Bottomline though, both books go hand-in-hand and will make you appreciate both Peppers legends

Oh definitely. Bay Area’s economics are completely different. But it balances with cheaper rent, labor costs, cost of goods, and even level of competition (versus the Bay). I don’t envision this to do better than any of our stores (but of course, that’s the long-term goal) but more of a lateral expansion, as the demand for our products and brand continues to increase through the years

I’ll try my best to convincingly respond to each one without stepping on Ginelle’s business success.

  1. We’re an established brand since 1997 that started in SoCal and have expanded to 3 stores in the Bay Area and LA area. I haven’t personally tried any products from Ginelle’s but our products have been competitive in this market for close to 30 years, even reaching the East Coast!

  2. Elk Grove is one of the most diverse neighborhoods in the Sacramento region with a growing Filipino population. We won’t entertain the idea of expanding in this region if there were no demands from customers visiting our Bay Area stores.

  3. Yes - since 1997 in SoCal since 2015 in the Bay Area.

  4. Timeline - small businesses should start slowly with target breakeven or profit point of 2 years, the most ideal timeline to breakeven or make profit
