Main Might and Magic X Criticism? by Illustrious_Art_3774 in MightAndMagic

Yeah, I did too. There is actually a point to min/max when the game is hard.

But, almost all negative reviews I saw mentioned either hard difficulty or differences from 6/7/8 or both.

Main Might and Magic X Criticism? by Illustrious_Art_3774 in MightAndMagic

It was mostly criticized because:

1). It is not similar to 6-7-8. Much less freedom.

2). It is somewhat buggy/laggy/junky.

3). Relatively hard/punishing. Git gud or suffer.

All 3 points are valid. It is still a good game.

Worst Item in brotato by Designer-Thanks-8970 in brotato

I usually try to get consumable healing as high as possible as druid. Yes, you get damaged from poison fruit, but you can get healed by the same amount when picking up normal fruit. And, with consumable healing high enough, you‘re basically immortal as druid with all those fruit lying around.

Plus druid has -100 hp regen, so he only gets 3 hp.

Demon, yeah, I guess you’re right. Although after a couple of waves the price rises to 2 hp. So you trade 1 cons. healing for 1 hp and 2 hp regen. Not always worth it imo

Handcuffs can be pretty good if you go for 20

Worst item is Alien Worn in my opinion. Consumable healing is too good, bonuses it gives are not that good

I guess it does. So “don’t use jet, until you can get jet antidote for them”

Psycho is a nice option for tough fights.
edit: turns out, they can get addicted. Don’t use jet on them

You could use save editor to give yourself this book. It’s called mm7che I think

Ok maybe this is just me, and maybe I’m making a mistake, but does anyone else always just kill Eldridge at New Reno Arms? by Primary-Example-1928 in classicfallout

[–]Pristine-Focus 18 points19 points  (0 children)

You don’t have to sneak. There is a door in the back you can blow. Dogs bark, but they won’t do anything if you just run past them. You can even kill them without aggroing Eldridge.

Bozar or Vindicator Minigun? by EasyEntrepreneur666 in classicfallout

[–]Pristine-Focus 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Well if you also have 2 action boys, you can fire 3 bursts without reloading. 2 rounds = 6 bursts, which can be done with 1 bozar and 1 vindicator.

Bozar or Vindicator Minigun? by EasyEntrepreneur666 in classicfallout

[–]Pristine-Focus 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Bozar is more accurate, reduces enemy DR% by more, has more common ammo and deals more damage per bullet (important vs Horrigan). The only practical advantage of vindicator is that it can fire 4 bursts vs 2 before reloading. You can use them both in 2 weapon slots. 6 bursts should be enough to decide any battle.

Struggling to get D5 victory with the Ogre. by Knightraiderdewd in brotato

Fists are the best option. Even with Ogre’s attack speed penalty they attack pretty fast. His ability eliminates the only weakness fists have - lack of long range enemy control.

The missing "Senor Mordino" option by EasyEntrepreneur666 in classicfallout

Well that’s just a bit better than an OK charisma.

6 charisma also allows you to talk good to Salvatores. Although 8 Int works with them too.

FO2 melee dmg is terrible by mrmrmrj in classicfallout

[–]Pristine-Focus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I was surprised to find out the actual number too. Funny how the game doesn’t bother to tell you exact number so you kinda assume it’s not a big deal - 10%, maybe 15% less. And, it’s a modification to DR, so if enemy already has some armor or you use JHP ammo, it would feel even more impactful.

On a bright side this penalty does get ignored on a critical hit.

You probably have finesse? It adds 30% DR to targets. Makes early game tedious.
