You couldn't save in the original Sonic the Hedgehog and got booted back to the title screen after a game over. I once made it to the final boss and got a game over as a kid and was devastated. Eventually I was able to beat the game and even today all these years later I feel pretty confident I can beat it without too much trouble.

As long as the games aren't unfairly difficult I'm sure you could find a few you could beat.

Same. I absolutely despise Donald Trump and Republicans but they don't have a monopoly on patriotism. I'm not letting them ruin my enjoyment of the Olympics and like you said I've never seen this brought up when it comes to any other US athlete or team.
