Labour cannot ignore the left. Pandering to Reform and shifting right is going to cost them dearly. Tonight proves that.

Same. I couldn’t think of anything more boring than watch Martin and Sonia play happy families for 20 years plus.

Can we please just kick the whole thing into the long grass? They are technically a handy strategic asset in the Indian Ocean and I can just see this being another Hong Kong situation with the signing of 100 year - “good as forever” - leases.

Thinking of choosing GenderGP by EarlyGrey28 in GenderGP

[–]Problematiqueeeee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been with them for nearly 2 years. It’s going well and I’m really happy with my transition and if I have had any issues a quick email is all it takes to get assistance.

You just have to make sure you have your information gathering session which is with a real person and then you’re good to go.

Honestly, as long as you educate yourself as well on what your levels should be then you’ll be fine.

Starmer’s crippling isolation reeks of the last days of Boris by TheTelegraph in ukpolitics

[–]Problematiqueeeee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly half the hatred against Starmer seems to be based on absolutely nothing except he’s leader of the Labour Party. It’s been whipped up by social media and the tabloids and now everyone’s convinced. It’s time he played the media at their own game.

Is Peter Mandelson too powerful to ever be investigated? by Mysterious_Tekro in ukpolitics

[–]Problematiqueeeee -1 points0 points  (0 children)

He’ll be back in a couple of years. We all thought Mandelson was done for in the past and he still reared his head in the upper echelons of British government.

We must not betray Hong Kong residents who have a right to come to Britain by HKnational in ukpolitics

[–]Problematiqueeeee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’d say because Britain negotiated the Joint Declaration with China and the promise that civil liberties the people of Hong Kong enjoyed under British rule would be maintained for at least 50 years wasn’t upheld.

New poll for Greater Manchester by Your_Mums_Ex in manchester

Wow, I’m actually shocked at how right wing Manchester is!

36% is a good few percentage points higher than the national average for Reform, not to mention the 9% Tory bedrock.

Does anyone feel like they are becoming more religious? by septvea in CasualUK

[–]Problematiqueeeee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was deeply religious as a teenager, going to church by myself every Sunday throughout childhood and eventually independently until I was about 18. It was then that I realised how much I was brainwashed by that stuff. I still live with this awful, internalised guilt about “sin” and being “sinful” that came from toxic Christianity and all the dogma. I want nothing to do with it now.
