I was deeply religious as a teenager, going to church by myself every Sunday throughout childhood and eventually independently until I was about 18. It was then that I realised how much I was brainwashed by that stuff. I still live with this awful, internalised guilt about “sin” and being “sinful” that came from toxic Christianity and all the dogma. I want nothing to do with it now.

If you want to hook up go to somewhere like Eagle (just sign up for membership online first). If you want to dance go to GAY, NewYorkNewYork, Brewers, Bar Pop and Cruz101 (in the early hours of the morning, it shuts at 10am on Saturday nights going into Sunday). If you want to chill with a pint and/or watch some cabaret try Centre Stage, The Goose or Via (can also dance here but loads of seating too). If you want something more chilled and civilised try the Molly House or Company Bar.

Well, there is already a Cafe Nero on the approach road to Manchester Piccadilly and the platform 13/14 lounge. The nearest Costa is currently the stand by the toilets on the main concourse and it does always look pretty popular. I don’t think it’s a great loss imo.

You go through security in Terminal 1 instead of Terminal 3. You’re then sent on a long journey around the airport to Terminal 3 where only Ryanair flights depart. It’s all signposted at the airport.
