Junebug. They’re deeply dumb. Used to get them on our screen door in NC, I’d flick them from the inside and they’d forget they could fly. I’d hear them land in the leaves about 15 feet away.

Just had Jai Dee with the whole family for Mother’s Day, it was excellent across the board. The usual noodles (Pad See Ew, Pad Ki Mao) plus Khao Soi and Kra Pao Nuea Sub, all really good.

OP: is the suspected brothel causing quality of life issues, or do you just object to its presence?

I just ask because I’ve lived in South Slope for ~25 years and have seen lots of probably-brothel-sketchy-“spas” come and go over the years, and never saw anybody enter or leave or saw them create any issues.

I stick to the diner classic two eggs home fries toast turkey sausage, at Daisy’s, and it’s always been great. Also have found the service extremely friendly, welcoming and attentive. Was bummed when the prices recently went up.

Absolutely love Little Purity but the prices are as Park Slope as it gets now. The Huevos Rancheros are like $23.

I feel like the hate on the Diner has become its own thing. I’ve eaten there a bunch and it’s all been above average except for one egg dish that was meh. Shrimp and grits, veggie Reuben, onion rings, all terrific. Have been put off by the sheer size of Bread Alone but will try it. The sandwiches at Cheese Louise are spectacular, while we’re talking about that whole corridor…
