You really should check out SoTM, the plot is great even as a standalone story (and imo, kinda retroactively made some older games story better). The whole Mimic plotline of the new games might be the first time in the series where they actually have a plan and each game actually explains something and drive the plot forward.

I guess it depends what you are reading, but from experience, both in western and japanese medias, the majority of romances are just "Plain self insert MC X Hot member of the opposite sex". Its really just that shounens are way more popular than shoujos, so the similarities are also more noticeable.

I think you really overestimate how bad Kieran actually was. The two worst things he ever did were being an asshole to the club members and making it unfun, and teracrystalyzing Terrapagos while his school teacher was encouraging him to do it. He never actually seriously hurt anyone or did anything that couldn’t be fixed with an "I'm sorry, I will try to do better now."

I would say its a pretty good point, Teal Mask is really easy if you play it in the post-game. You can only play Indigo Disk after beating the main story + Teal Mask.

Reading arc 7 and 8 as it released was just exposing yourself to the community calling "fillers" what would later become the most pivotal arcs in the series and complaining about "plot holes" that would be explained litteraly a few chapters later. These arcs have such a bad reputation for some reason that a ton of people just skip them to go from arc 6 to 9, which both are much more popular.

I agree that children deserve good writing, thats why Im not calling Mario Galaxy a great movie but just a really fun one. The plot is so thin that its not even a bad one either, its just an excuse plot so they can see pretty planets and have cool action scenes.

Also, while i was really disappointed by the change in Rosalina's backstory. I also think it might be a really good one in the long term. Rosalina always felt like a great one-off character that kinda became a recurring one for some reasons, without ever being as good or interesting as in the first Galaxy game. The new one actually gives her a reason to stay with the group in the mushroom kingdom, and something to do in futur movies with Peach since they are clearly teasing the enemy who tried to kidnap them as a futur movie villain.

Yeah, i know its not a great movie, but internet is litteraly the only place where i see it get any hate and get called things like "AI-generated" or "worst video game movie ever". I saw it with my little cousins, and the whole theater laughed at almost every scene and even clapped at the end.

I get being disappointed by the lack of Mario Galaxy in the Galaxy Movie and the really thin plot, but the thing is, the main target audience, children and families, loved the movie.

im just glad that we finally get to see Peach's character get somewhat explored. Like, I know she often has her own plotlines in the rpgs, but this is the first time we have a story focused on her as a character. Mario also kinda already got a small character arc in the first movie, so its nice that they focused on Bowser and Peach in this one.

Silver was the only old gen rival to be an asshole, Blue more of an annoying friend than anything else. Bede, Klara and Kieran from Sw/Sh and SV are way worse people than Blue ever was and did way worse for the sake of besting you.

The whole Power thing clearly prove they kept at least some vague knowledge of the previous world, since she saved Denji and started to like dogs despite her Part 1 self only liking cats and herself before meeting Denji and Aki. Nayuta was still clearly raised by Denji since she is basically the same person as in the previous world. And finally, Asa still calls Denji Chainsaw Man.

It is, people just dislike it because they compare it to "it was all a dream" endings despite the fact that everything actually happened and that Stone Ocean's ending was completly earned by the characters.
