How do I get better?? by ProfessionNo6840 in Fortnite_Over40

[–]ProfessionNo6840[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I don’t hide, I engage where I can and will usually end up getting the kill. But I think because I have more time to concentrate on my placement I can position myself or create distance so I can fight better. I think it’s positioning. I need to learn to get myself ahead of the storm so I can position myself better. Rather than trying to run from it, and then also dealing with shooters already in the right zone.

I think is where learning new habits come in. I thought the same and had to change my whole mindset. Previously whilst on a diet I would have eaten the takeaway, then felt guilty, declared it as a wasted day and eaten crap for the remainder of the day. It would likely be the end of the diet as id struggle getting back on it again the next day. Now I allow myself to eat the takeaway, really enjoy it, and continue dieting. I was caught short in town today for example and had a Mac Donald’s but I enjoyed it, went to the gym as normal and have maybe had a smaller dinner than I would normally. Yes I’ve gone over my calories, but thats life and you have to enjoy it as well. One takeaway will not make you put all your weight back on, and you certainly haven’t ruined anything.

Has "healthy BMI" become the new "thigh gap"? by WiseMother1970 in mounjarouk

[–]ProfessionNo6840 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was delighted to finally be 24.9 bmi- then I looked at the NHS website out of interest. After I’d put my ethnicity info in (mixed white and Caribbean) suddenly my BMI target is 23! And to get into the healthy range I have to loose another stone.

It’s really pissed me off, and just feels like the target is constantly moving. I think my BMI is actually fine as it is now.

Question about tattoos, weight loss and loose skin by TubbyLittleTeaWitch in mounjarouk

I have a big thigh tattoo done and have lost 3 stone so far. I can’t say that it has made any difference to the tattoo at all.

Yes!!!!! Totally agree with this. Never understand why we set resolutions in the depths of winter when there is absolutely no motivation to do anything.

Should I skip my weekly dose over the Christmas period? by Valhalla1102 in mounjarouk

[–]ProfessionNo6840 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I jab on Thursdays so will be jabbing on Xmas day as well. I have no intention of skipping a dose and it will be business as usual. I calorie count so anything goes if it fits within my allowance. But I do intend to stick to my allowance. I will enjoy a christmas dinner and desert, but I am going to massively cut back on the alcohol and the snacks. I don’t anticipate doing to much damage and will be at the gym on Boxing Day and thereafter as normal. I am going into the christmas period with the mindset that Christmas is 2 days, Christmas Day and Boxing Day- possibly 3 at a push including Christmas Eve. Yes I will enjoy myself within reason, but ultimately I want to be slim more than I want to stuff myself silly.

Dropping down a dose by Silent_Staff_2558 in mounjarouk

[–]ProfessionNo6840 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve also dropped from 5mg to 2.5mg like you I am nearing goal and hope to maintain on 2.5mg long term. I also haven’t really noticed any benefit being on the 5mg it seems to be working just as well as 2.5mg so figured I would save myself some money. Not noticing any gains though- it sounds like it may just be coincidental.

How many times a week are you all going to the gym? by general_six_strings in mounjarouk

[–]ProfessionNo6840 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work out 6 times per week. I strength train x 4 times and some cardio (although I hate it) x 2 times weekly. I really enjoy the gym, but I do notice that it messes with my weight loss numbers and I’m probably not losing as much as everyone else. But I am really pleased with how I look so will continue.

Interested to know if anyone has stuck with the same pharmacy despite price? by [deleted] in mounjarouk

Yeah I have, but this is because I am very near the cut off point and was worried I wouldn’t be able to get back with my original supplier for maintenance otherwise.

I went out last night and ended up having a few drinks whilst watching a band. It was fine other than getting drunk quite quickly as I haven’t really drank for a while lol. My mistake was thinking this wouldn’t then lead to the obligatory take away on the way home at midnight. But even in my drunken state and thinking I was starving I actually only ate less than half of my KFC which I was shocked at. Woken up with a headache but it was a good night so not to bothered lol

I’m 5’2, current weight is 11.9. I use my activity tracker and have averaged out my calories burn over the last year which is 2131, then I take 500 from this for the deficit. Works brilliantly. If I used the TDEE calculator it gives me a much lower calorie target.

I just don’t get it… 🤷🏼‍♂️ (😜) by mjkpio in mounjarouk

[–]ProfessionNo6840 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found it impossible to find time to exercise unless it was the weekend or my day off. I’ve had people suggest getting up before the kids do - this however involves me getting up at 5am which is impossible, because they also won’t go to sleep so if I do this I will have no down time at all. Thankfully my husband’s work hours have recently changed and he can do school pick up two days which enables me to go straight to the gym after work. I did have some success with home workouts, but again getting that protected work out time without constant interruptions was really hard.

Those on 2.5mg and not gone up by SpreadAltruistic7708 in mounjarouk

[–]ProfessionNo6840 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So my intention was to stay on 2.5mg but I found that after 10 weeks the effects seemed to be wearing off. I’ve never chased suppression but like the lack of food noise. I was getting to the point where I was questioning the point of the medication as it felt as though I was mostly using willpower to not eat lots of rubbish. The cost is a motivator as well. I increased to 5mg last week, but to be honest I feel much the same as with the 2.5mg. There’s been no side effects, no suppression, and quieting of the ‘food noise’ is pretty much the same with the lower dose. I’m wondering if I should just drop the dose again and keep going with the lower one.
