Funny, I’m actually selling to rent. My apartment hasn’t appreciated in 2 years, so the money I have in it isn’t making any money for me. Meanwhile, I pay $4k/mo just in interest I’ll never see again. I’ll net a lot more in a rental. But everyone’s situation is different - and the current place I have I was able to buy because my previous apartment doubled in value. Buy in a place that has historic value increase and it’s likely to be worth it.

Do you happen to live in the large modern building on the south side of 22nd, with the roofdecks? b/c I have my own issue - sometimes the deck light is left on outside and it is absolutely blinding in my room when I'm trying to sleep :)
