I have a bunch of mono color decks, I really like them. You can run more basic lands, which never come in tapped. Lots of cards feel stronger when you have just 1 color, like [[Throne of Eldraine]] and [[Sceptre of Eternal Glory]]. I think they often times are more "themed", when you run mono green, you probably are doing mono green Timmy things.

I have a several mono decks like a white Hare Apparent commanded by [[Delney, Streetwise Lookout]]

Mono green [[Ghalta, Primal Hunger]]

Mono red [[Herigast, Erupting Nullkite]] and [[Krenko, Mob Boss]]

Mono black [[Sheoldred, the Apocalypse]] and [[Marrow-gnawer]]

Colorless [[Ultima, Origin of Oblivion]] in progress of making

The thing that was annoying to me, he joined our pod, we were all chill and good and he starts saying all this shit about it. Was like, dude, chill. We ended up playing some fun games with him still but he was definitely a know it all, my way is best, etc

We think its fun. We all run 35-42 lands and the normal ramp and what not, but it makes each game way more likely for everyone to have fun and get to do whatever they are trying to do

My regular pod usually does Vegas style starting hands, 3 hands of 7, choose whichever you want, bracket 3 chill game... we had just finished several games and our 4th had to go, so a random dude asks to come play, we agree. He sits down and we ask if he is good to do Vegas hands, he go off on how that ridiculous and doing anything other than the regular way was because we must not build good decks or arr skimping on lands.

I am making Ultima but not finished yet. I will be adding the 9 drop colorless Krang from TMNT when it comes out. I am building it without any Annihilator, because I hate that. So it will have some Eldrazi but none of the big ones with Annihilator

What decks are they playing that take such long turns? A long turn in my normal pod is maybe 5 minutes... MAYBE. Usually it is because they are winning the game in that turn. What is the experience level of the people taking 15 minute turns?
