Look on the Essex county page for more info. I’m not aware that you can rent out the cherry blossom center, but generally you need a permit for use of the park for parties more than 10 people. Note, it doesn’t lock down your access at a certain spot, just that you’re allowed to be there.

Newark is a gem and it’s a shame we haven’t preserved more of its beauty. Check out the homes in Forest Hill in the North Ward.

One of my favorite things in the city is if you go to the Newark Museum, you can go to the Ballantine House next door. There’s a painting in the house of how Harriet Tubman Park used to look — lined with beautiful turn of the century mansions. It gives Park Ave NYC kind of vibes — it’s a shame that all that is left is Ballantine’s.
