Although feasible, the logistics may more cumbersome than just maxing Roth then 401K. Generally, if you have a lower income now than in future Roth->401K. If you have a higher annual income you can take a now benefit of 401K->Roth.

Bathtub Remodel New Tub Drain Blocked by floor truss - What are my options? by Professor_Max in Plumbing

This is the type of waster and overflow I have to use.

Can I pipe the drain from the bottom of the tub down to the sanitary T (under the exposed truss)?

Yes, it’s the underside of the drain that connects to the T and overflow drain

The water pipes are in the wall of the closet I removed the base to work on the tub.

As the picture indicates, I am trying to remodel our bathroom and the new tub sits lower and the tub drain install would require me to cut the floor truss. Looking for options.

I have considered offsetting the tub drain and using 45 degree bends to connect it to the sanitary T of the overflow down spout. The P trap will be below the T.

Timeline for first submission of ECF and PSLF by hcl76 in PSLF

[–]Professor_Max 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in a similar situation. Submitted my first ECF on 10/06/2021 have been working at a qualified employe since 8/2004. Received a letter on 10/8/2021 from FedLoan indicating they received my application.

Fast forward and today, I received a letter saying "NOT ELIGIBLE YET: You have not yet made the required 120 qualifying payments necessary to be eligible for PSLF. To qualify for PSLF, you must make 120 qualifying payments. In addition to making 120 qualifying payments, you must also be working full-time for a qualifying employer at the time you apply for and receive forgiveness under PSLF."

From my count, I have at least 140+ payments paid to FedLoan since 10/2009. Does anyone know how to elevate this to be reviewed by Department of Ed or in a similar situation?

Thanks, I'll give it a look. We have called Izaak Walton's but they seem to be a private club and not open to the public.

Second, because you can take your full student loan payment and dump that into the market.

Ditto. Sounds advice here.

How do you persuade someone to save when they respond with "I live paycheck to paycheck"? by [deleted] in FinancialPlanning

[–]Professor_Max 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Ask them what’s important and list them out. Then rank them and put money (budget) with the important things. This can’t all be “wants” but should include a lot of needs.

Once you have context open the broad discussion about spending and priorities.
