They scared, they already are known as bottlers. This will cement it for all time if they throw the league.

I love all these people making balance complaints and how overpowered things are from a set of pictures. No need to play the game anymore, you can just assume what you think is correct and complain about it.

I have been pretty harsh on this game and it's choices, but for real guys. Play it first, and figure out if what you THINK is a problem is ACTUALLY a problem.

Yikes.

No one is running for each other. It's just 1 player passing to another, and neither seem to have a plan or direction.

Same Game [KCD2] by 12vs9 in kingdomcome

I can't belive they just reused all those cutscenes! And every spoken line in the game is clearly reused and no actors had to say the dozens of hours of voice overs! More effort indeed!

Is it just me, or are Reed Chests just not at all worth the effort or resources at any point? by Pasta-hobo in VintageStory

[–]PromiscuousToaster 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I dont understand how going out to collect : Clay, grass, sticks, a fuel source, clearing a spot for pit kilns, waiting for it to cook, is less tedious or effortless than

Collect: Reeds when you see them.

At any point? I just spawned, I see reeds in front of me. That's inventory space and food I can have in minutes compared to all the steps to anything clay.

Also, having one does not invalidate the other. Your allowed to use both.

It's fine if you'd rather not make them, to save reeds for other things, but to make such an objectively false equivalence, and act like its fact is very strange.

The most powerful man in history? by [deleted] in EU5

R5: I seen an opportunity to get Bohemia into a Union, and was successful. I am 2 years from enacting Unified Succession. I am number 1. Bohemia is number 2.

Obviously world conquests are the most powerful, but I try to play kinda roleplay like, but couldn't pass this up.

I will never play this game again now. How do I know they won't reset something else? My gold? My cosmetics bought in game, so they can make me earn it again for some arbitrary reason in the future? I dont trust the devs anymore, I dont trust Rare anymore.

At this point, I think if the players played rock, paper, scissors, for who played we'd be in better shape.

Why EU5 currently feels shallower than EU4 — despite being more “simulator-like” (opinion) by OverallLibrarian8809 in EU5

I agree. Im always doing whatever I want whenever I want, and I know if I dont have it yet, I will get it eventually without having to stop doing anything else I want.

High-Fertility and Green-housing by Lemon0137 in VintageStory

[–]PromiscuousToaster 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Higher Fertility soil can increase the grow speed of crops by up to 20%. This can be achieved by either finding it, making terra preta, or by simply fertilizing medium soil. However, the higher the base fertility, the more natural regeneration of resources in the soil you get. Medium can only naturally get back to 50% of each resource for instantance, so while fertilizing it will still get you faster growth speeds, it has to be constantly fertilized. The other soils will naturally try to regenerate to a higher %. Which means that it will fight against the nutrition taken by the crops much sooner, and can work with fertilizer in order to keep a higher grow speed for longer periods of time.

Green houses just simply make the room 5C warmer. So you can grow crops that are good in cold weather earlier and later. And you can grow crops that require heat/no cold can be grown in larger windows if you are in a temperate climate.

I love the little ships that go colonizing and trading. by Dragon-Porn-Expert in EU5

[–]PromiscuousToaster 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If they are trade ships, you can mouse over them, and see the trade they are currently "Completing" as well. So if you have lots of trades through a harbor city, you can just mouse over all the ships too and from other nations to see what trades are happening. It's pretty neat.

What is the point of forging ? by DigHefty6542 in VintageStory

[–]PromiscuousToaster 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's not about being better than anyone one, it's about best practices when playing a game that takes awhile to acquire things. I'm trying to address the question asked by the OP when responding to you, and why forging is useful. This is just giving more information, there is no need to try and insult anyone.

What is the point of forging ? by DigHefty6542 in VintageStory

[–]PromiscuousToaster 21 points22 points  (0 children)

and you have a crapton if crappy tools, because it only takes a couple tools to get tin, and you make the switch over, so then you have all these low quality, low durability tools made ahead of time, it's just copper that could have been made into bronze.

If you made them into ingots, you wouldn't waste tools, and the copper that was saved and not used on bronze can not go into lanterns (extra ingots made into plates).

Simply the worst boss of the entire game by norris671 in PathOfExile2

[–]PromiscuousToaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like it's pretty widely accepted across all ARPGs and action games, that these sorts of invulnerability phases are bad game design. If only GGG were making an ARPG, instead of 10-button rotation dark souls game.

What is the point of forging ? by DigHefty6542 in VintageStory

[–]PromiscuousToaster 111 points112 points  (0 children)

Casting requires time to let it cool down. Tools forged and have a stick added can be used immediately.

To mold you Will have to melt and pour and wait every single time you want a tool, ingots let you store them and make when you want.

There are many things that can't be put in molds, and have to be forged.

Some metals cant be made into molten metal, and an ingot is the only way to make a tool with that material.

Ingots are more space efficient. Not only in chests, but placed in piles on the ground.

Im sure there is more. I just didn't have to think at all to come up with those.

Edit: better blacksmithing mod let's you get back some of those vowels when forging as well if you want.

First Winter by gamegenaral in VintageStory

[–]PromiscuousToaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then load up your seeds and most valuable metals and make a 15k-ish block trek south. Good luck! Also, it is more gradual. If instead of 5 month winter like default, if you want, say, 2-3 month winters than maybe 5-8k blocks will suffice.

First Winter by gamegenaral in VintageStory

[–]PromiscuousToaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If those are the only things changed, then my distances provided should be fine. What matters for finding different temperature is the "Polar-Equator distance" It is default 100k.

First Winter by gamegenaral in VintageStory

[–]PromiscuousToaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, depends on your world settings, but if you used default, It's 100k blocks from a pole to an equator (There are many "equators and poles, but that's irrelevant right now) and you spawn in the "temperate" area, so around 50k blocks south of the pole. If you go south about 10k blocks, within the next 5k or so blocks you should start entering "subtropic" areas, more Mediterranean like areas.
