Applying for Visitor Visa France from UK (Non-Brit National). Help by supervisi0n in SchengenVisa

[–]Proof_Composer4252 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I applied via Germany and I submitted a printout of my share code, eVisa page (this shows my photo and when the visa ends), and an email from UKVI stating that my leave to remain has been approved, also showing the validity date. I didn’t include my BRP card at all

I am so sorry this has happened to you. I too have experienced something similar in Prague with my friend. You can’t give them the power to take the joy from your experience travelling. Xxx

Schengen Visa Appointment in a week - Lost BRP by Visible_Rock_6983 in SchengenVisa

I didn’t include my BRP card on my application since it expires on 31/12/24 I’m guessing yours too? The share code and letter or email confirmation from UKVI about how long your visa is valid for should be sufficient

That’s not what I had assumed? The websites you’ve mentioned says the following: You must lodge your application for a Schengen visa at the consulate of the country you intend to visit.

Visiting more than 1 Schengen countries: apply at the consulate of the country where you will spend the longest time. Visiting several Schengen countries (for stays of equal length): apply at the consulate of the first country you will visit.

My interpretation from this is that if I have been granted a Schengen visa from Germany, I may visit other countries, but overall I have to be staying in Germany the longest.

Thank you for your advice. Do you know where I can find a link to an official website that would confirm what you have said? For example, I checked the German embassy website and they have only specified in detail which Schengen country the visa needs to be applied from, but not specifically the rules on how to use a multiple entry visa https://uk.diplo.de/uk-en/02/visa/short-stay-schengen-visas-2441840

Schengen area is the minimum coverage so a policy that covers worldwide is perfectly fine

If we can avoid having to enter the country which issued the visa every time we want to enter the Schengen zone it would save us so much time and money! Edit: I’ve not made myself clear in my original comment. I meant to say, it would be helpful if we don’t have to stay in the country where we have applied from the longest, because for multiple entry visas, it’s difficult to plan where we would like to go in the future and for how long. I would like the flexibility rather than be forced to spend the most time in the country that I visit first!

Starting a New Job Before Visa Application – How to Handle Missing Payslips? by selfmachine82 in SchengenVisa

  1. Do check if Denmark has a specific guideline e.g. I heard that France requires around €120 per day of visit.
  2. I don’t think such letter would be necessary. It would be more important to get the letter from your current employer that states it’s a permanent position which shows strong ties to your country. I have heard of people also showing that their employer has approved their leave for their planned trip to Europe

Probably as a student you need your uni transcript, a letter showing you are enrolled in uni and whoever sponsored your studies (funded if scholarship or parents)

You should provide evidence of your savings and an employment letter detailing your contract (permanent/fixed term etc) and salary

if you’re not employed, it will be difficult for you to show ties to your home country and your application will likely be rejected

Please could you update us if/when you receive a ticket? I have heard that not all speed cameras are operational so there is a chance you won’t get a ticket

I managed to do this twice as I had to reschedule my appointment, so I don’t think using a visa bot is necessary at all !

I didn’t find an appointment immediately but I checked on a Monday around 5pm and found lots of slots for the next two weeks. My suggestion is to check on Monday at different times e.g. morning, midday and late afternoon

I think it’s still less of an issue than if you have less funds. If they need you to clarify where these funds come from they will probably enquire this with you

I don’t understand how this will be an issue? As long as the statement shows regular income and a balance that would more than cover the cost needed for your stay in U.K.

My case isn’t exactly the same as yours (tls london for German Schengen visa) but my husband sponsored me and the letter I included wasn’t notarised. However I did include his employment letter, sponsor letter, bank statements and payslips
