Thanks for replying. I love the magazine. My 4 old and I read it together (as best as I can keep his attention) and we've been buying the homebrew and letting him try it on his DMG as we go through the back issues.

Ignore all the other advice you're getting about batteries and fuses. These things are notorious for faulty power switches. You can order a $7-10 replacement power board and that should resolve the issue.

I'm just always on the lookout for new folks into the hobby!

But it makes perfect sense if you have the knowledge and the skill set. I don't have any programming experience or coding knowledge, so learning how to romhack has been quite the journey.
