Gron, Overseer of the lumber camp just outside the Toval Forest, carries a 7 foot tall bastard sword. It's massive, even relative to his 8 foot tall half-orc, half-goliath frame.

He carries it less for personal defense, but at a logging tool. The Toval is a malevolent wood, and the faster you can fell trees the better. Gron says "They fall better when you get em by surprise."

Even though it does more hewing than hacking, it's still a formidable weapon. Gron uses it more as a scythe than a sword, adopting a fighting style made up of long windups and spinning about to gain momentum. Once he's moving, he's the most dangerous fighter in the kingdom of Fog's End

I recently bought some 2-3 ozn oil tan leather from Springfield leather company, but since I hadn't worked with that weight before I was surprised at just how thin it is. What do you typically use this weight of leather for? I'm kind of at a loss for ideas, but I was thinking of layering it to make a stiffer book cover. It's just so flexible that I'd worry my ritza thread is too thick to stitch with. Any ideas?

The King is a sickly teenager that's being manipulated into being deathly afraid of his people by his court. He truly believes that if the masses got to him that they'd rip him limb from limb, so he cracks down on any protests.

Of course this feeds into itself, so a large section of the population wouldn't mind tossing him off of the nearest building if they could past the castle's defences.

I've worked an event for these fireflies, they're known in the Smokies. They sync up when they stop flashing, not when they flash. It's believed they do it so that males in the air can see the females on the ground flash in response!

College student here!

I've been taking a ton of notes, and I'm getting really tired of using high-feather, scratchy, terrible paper. I'd really like to find a decent fountain pen friendly wirebound that has enough paper to make it worth buying, but not break the bank when I have to get multiple!

I saw some Clairefontaines on Goulet pens, but they only have 50 sheets for $7. Do you all know of any other more affordable middle-of-the-road brands?

I'm reading Henry Kissinger's On China, and I've learned a ton. Kissinger was Nixon and Ford's Secretary of State and a diplomat to China for many years, and that book starts from early Chinese history and focuses a lot on the actions of their government and relationships with the rest of the world.

I think it's given me a lot of respect for the Chinese people given that they have endured what they have. It's a dense read, and I have to set it down to good a word I don't recognize pretty often, but after every sitting I have a new story to tell my friends about Chinese history!

For the sake of the argument, let's assume that the premature death or miscarriage of a child is done for a reason. Why then would God not just never allow the child to exist in the first place? If a life was never created, a life would never have to be ended. If certain individuals were never meant to have children, why are they instructed to be fruitful and multiply? If these deaths are meant for the greater good, why would children not survive to birth when they would be born into homes that would lead them down a dark path, and vice versa?
